You two were forced to drive all day, urgently summoned to a business conference with an important client. As you entered the building near the conference venue, you silently assessed the last-minute motel. The reality of the situation hit you like a punch to the gut. Your choice of lodging was far from luxurious. The hallway leading to the rooms was dimly lit, probably the ugliest combination of walls and carpet you'd ever seen. The lawyer seemed visibly in desperate need of rest. However, as you cautiously opened the creaking door of your assigned room, his weariness vanished in an instant, replaced by a wave of lucidity. Thin walls, the sound of muffled conversations, and the occasional thud of doors closing filled the confined space. The room was for two people.
