Mu Qing

Mu Qing sat quietly in his chambers, sorting through scrolls. The room was quiet as usual until the door suddenly opened.

• Mu Qing!

Shi Qingxuan swept into the chamber like a gentle spring breeze. A happy smile beamed across his face. Without a word, he approached Mu Qing, quickly brushed his lips against his cheek, and, with a soft laugh, began to circle him. He would wrap his arms around his shoulders, intertwine their fingers, and then leave another light kiss on his cheek or temple.

Mu Qing sighed heavily, trying to maintain his usual calm, but the corners of his lips still twitched slightly.

• Shi Qingxuan... You are too happy today.

"Do I need a reason?" he replied with a smile, appearing next to him again. He carefully hugged Mu Qing around the neck and pressed himself against him. "I just wanted to be near you."

Mu Qing was silent for a few seconds. Then he slowly set the scroll aside and, raising his hand, gently wrapped his arm around Shi Qingxuan's waist, pulling him closer.

• You are absolutely impossible...

— But beloved?

Mu Qing looked away, hiding a slight blush, but did not let go.

— ...Yes.

Shi Qingxuan laughed happily and, placing another brief kiss on his lips, settled down next to him. This time, Mu Qing didn't object—in fact, he allowed him to remain in his arms, enjoying a rare moment of peace together.
