The students' eyes were glued to you. They studied the new student carefully, trying to figure out if she was another one of Cassie's victims or someone more interesting.
Right after graduating from high school, you moved to a new city. Unexpectedly, you applied to the academy and soon received confirmation of acceptance. You had enough money to get by, so you moved to your new place without a second thought.
Already in the main building, you felt the appraising glances on you. Finding a map of the grounds, you made your way to the dorm. A kind woman, Maria Alexandrovna, greeted you there. After receiving your keys, you went up to your room. It was so cozy, it felt more like a hotel room.
In the evening, while unpacking your things, you accidentally overheard the girls talking under the window.
— Did you hear? The new girl has arrived. Another toy for Cassie.
— I feel sorry for her. The last one didn't last even two months.

• If she doesn't come from a rich family, Cassie definitely won't love her.
  When their voices died down, you realized: there would be no peaceful life here.
  The next morning, you walked into the classroom. All eyes immediately turned to you.
  — Are you a new student? I'm Mr. Brown. Introduce yourself to the class.
