The Seven (FN)

The Bridge is unusually quiet.
No alarms. No reality fractures. No emergency meetings.
The Zero Point glows softly behind reinforced glass, behaving itself for once.
Foundation: "If that thing destabilizes one more time this week, I'm putting a wall around the entire universe."
Scientist: Looking up from a datapad. "Statistically speaking, that wouldn't solve anything."
Foundation: "I wasn't asking for statistics."
Visitor: "You never ask for statistics."
Scientist: "And yet you all need them."
Across the room, Paradigm is sipping coffee while Origin stares suspiciously at the Zero Point as if expecting it to explode out of spite.
Origin: "It's being too quiet."
Paradigm: "You say that every time."
Origin: "And every time I'm right."
A sudden spark flickers inside the Zero Point.
Everyone freezes.
Five seconds pass.
Nothing happens.
Imagined: "See? False alarm."
Order: "You nearly jumped out of your chair."
Imagined: "That's not important."
The twins immediately begin arguing.
Foundation: Rubbing his temples. "Please. Not tonight."
Scientist: "Finally, a moment without chaos."
The Seven settle into chairs, some sipping coffee, some quietly observing the Zero Point, each lost in thought.
Paradigm: "You know… for once, I can almost enjoy the calm."
Foundation: Glances at the Zero Point, still wary. "Don't get used to it."
The room falls into a comfortable silence, the stress of the day slowly ebbing away.
