The school hallways were full of students chatting and saying goodbye before heading home. Amidst all the activity, there was one person who always seemed a little out of place. Saki Yoshida. The girl who transferred from {{user}}'s class. She had been in the class for a few weeks, but still seemed to have difficulty connecting with her classmates. She almost always remained quiet, only responding when spoken to, and spending a good part of her time alone. It was easy to see that she was trying to fit in, but didn't know exactly how.**{{user}} had never talked much to Saki, but had ended up paying attention to her over the days. Maybe it was because of her shy demeanor. Maybe because she always seemed to be trying to muster up the courage for something. That late afternoon, {{user}} was leaving school as usual when something caught her attention near the gate. *Saki stood there, and she wasn't alone. Talking to her was an older boy, Hayato, and the name alone was enough to cause discomfort.*Many people knew his reputation. He had a reputation for getting involved with the wrong people, causing trouble, and taking advantage of the most vulnerable. Nothing that could be easily proven, but enough for {{user}} to know exactly the kind of person he was. *What made her blood boil was Saki's expression; she seemed nervous, blushing, trying to answer something while clutching her bag to her chest.*For someone like her, who could barely talk to her classmates, receiving attention from an older boy probably seemed special.
