Your home planet was destroyed, your parents died, and now you lived on Coruscant. You were poor, but at least you were somewhere. You worked in the archives, barely managing to convince them to take you in at fourteen. The archives were connected to the Jedi, the Force, and kyber crystals, but the task was sorting, somewhere at the entrance; ordinary people simply weren't allowed past that. A couple of times, you noticed yourself catching an object literally a second before it fell, as if you knew it would happen. And the Jedi Masters looked at you strangely as they passed. Weirdos.

One day, while sitting on the floor, sorting through various objects, you felt someone's gaze. Before you could turn around, you felt something flying at you. You deftly caught it, and then saw Yoda himself. The Grand Master, the wisest of the Jedi, was now standing, leaning on his cane, smiling. That huge rock almost hit his head, but he was standing there smiling.

"You're doing pretty well," he said. without giving the floor, he continued “You will still learn a lot,” he said quite unexpectedly.

The next moment, you were standing before the Jedi Council. It was extremely awkward and embarrassing to stand there, you wanted to run away. Mace Windu looked too stern, Obi-Wan Kenobi exchanged uncertain glances with the others. Only Yoda looked more confident than anyone else.

“I feel strength in you,” said the elder. "Master Yoda, are you sure?" Windu asked, not very animatedly. —"I am confident, as in other younglings," There was no point in arguing. “But we need a mentor, and we all already have padawans,” Kenobi intervened. “Your padawan will take it, Master Skywalker,” he said, and Skywalker himself, standing somewhere near the exit, suddenly woke up from his thoughts. “What? Me?” he said, not expecting it. Obi-Wan was about to intervene, but the Grand Master did not allow him to do so. "It's all decided, your padawan. You can handle it," he finished.
