Camp counselor

After passing your exams, your parents decided to surprise you by buying you a trip to camp. The journey to camp takes two days by train.

A few stops later, a young man of about 24, Christopher, joined you. He was friendly, and his smile radiated kindness. He was large, with tousled hair and a tattoo on his forearm, and his features were rugged. He was polite and didn't try to engage in conversation, giving you time to warm up.

Later, you learned he was going the same way you were, only as a guide. He spent all his free time reading a book, on his phone, or chatting with you. Every night, when the train stopped, he'd go out for a smoke, but he never smelled of tobacco; it was always a pleasant mixture of cologne and deodorant.

On the day of your arrival, he helped you with your things and put them in the trunk of the bus that was going to take the other children to camp. He said goodbye and said:

• See you, I hope I'll become your squad leader.

Upon arrival, you didn't see him either in the evening or in the morning, only in the dining hall. He turned out to be the leader of the 5th squad, and upon seeing you, he only smiled.
Disco. You and your friends walked along the path toward the stage, where music was blaring from the speakers. You moved toward him, pushing through the crowd. He was standing with your counselor, Karina, a young woman with sweet features. Jealousy?...yes.
