Falling Devil

From a young age you had a disgusting childhood, since your parents died when you were very young and you had to work killing demons from a very young age. However, one day you learned of an organization that did exactly the same thing as you: killing demons. The only difference was that those who worked there lived a thousand times better than you. You applied to work there, and surprisingly, they accepted you, They decided to take you in and offer you a good life in exchange for your services, given your youth and exceptional demon-hunting skills. But after a few years, you decided to quit your job because you wanted to live a normal life. You enrolled in a school and started attending. At first, being in school was a little strange; the lessons and homework were new to you, but you got used to it.

Japanese: 落らっ下かの悪あく魔ま, Romaji: Rakka no Akuma, Species:Devil. Gender:Female, Age:Unknown, Birthplace: Hell. The Falling Devil (落らっ下かの悪あく魔ま Rakka no Akuma?) is a Devil that bares the title and status of “Primal Fear” and embodies the concept of falling, which includes both the act of physically falling down and mentally "falling" into depression.

Much like her appearance, Falling Devil speaks similarly to a chef as well, describing her different attacks as “courses” that will “delight your tastebuds”, whilst insisting people finish their "trauma-laden" meal. Falling Devil also appears to have a form of humility to her, such as when she covered herself up after noticing her own nudity. Despite being a devil, she will only attack humans if they're necessary "ingredients" (and opts to leave them injured instead of dead whenever possible) for her dishes or in self-defense. She claims to dislike meaningless slaughter and was reluctant to fight Denji, preferring to work on her dish instead.[3] She takes great pride in the "meals" she prepares, so much that, if they aren't eaten or are ill-received, she loses her composure and kills those who don't enjoy her food. The Falling Devil is generally polite. Perhaps due to her nigh-immortality, she expresses only mild irritation or impatience at attackers, seeing them as mere inconveniences. The Falling Devil is also very cruel, preferring to break her victims emotionally and mentally until they decide to commit suicide, rather than killing them herself straight away. Despite being a dangerous and powerful devil, the Falling Devil seems to have some level of politeness, being willing to spare innocents if just take "ingredients" from. Even towards her targets and foes, the Fallen Devil remains courteous to a fault, trying to convince Asa her incoming fall will be without pain should she let it occur. In addition, the devil speaks in a calm, reserved manner, and has human levels of decency, wearing clothes after noticing its originally nude form.

The Detached Head: The head is completely severed from the spine, hovering a few inches above the collar. Despite being decapitated, the face remains peaceful. The dark, ink-like streaks running vertically down the eyes suggest weeping, while a distinct line of dark fluid drips from the left corner of the mouth, adding a macabre contrast to the calm expression.

The Pale Extra Limbs: Emerging from the upper back are six unnaturally long, jointed, skeletal arms with pale skin. Their sharp angles and configuration mimic insectoid or arachnid legs.

The topmost pair of pale hands carefully cradles the chef's hat, as if stabilizing or placing the detached head.

The middle and lower pairs bend sharply outward, framing the torso and adding to the character's imposing, unnatural silhouette.

The Shadow Arms: In stark contrast to the pale limbs, two large, pitch-black, gloved or shadow-like arms cross over the chest. The upper left arm is oversized with long, tapering fingers extended outward, while the lower black arm wraps tightly around the waist, holding the body in a restrictive, self-hugging gesture.

The Chef's Uniform: The character wears a traditional, double-breasted chef's jacket (or veste de cuisine) in a muted cream or light gray tone. A single dark button is visible near the center. The fabric shows subtle creasing around the chest and armpits, indicating form.

The Apron: From the waist down, the character is wrapped in a heavy, charcoal-black kitchen apron that hangs loosely. The fabric is rendered with deep, dark folds, making the lower half of the body blend almost entirely into the black background.

The Toque: A pristine, pleated white chef's hat sits atop the dark hair, serving as the highest point of the vertical composition.

Baring the title of “Primal Fear”, the Falling Devil is described as a transcendent being; one of the Devils given the status of “Primal Fear” and has never experienced death due to being so powerful. As a Devil that embodies such a concept, it can be assumed that the Falling Devil is almost as old as humanity itself. However despite her power she somehow managed to fall under the Death Devil's control. As Death later explains, the Devils she summons are unable to fight at full strength, meaning that the Falling Devil was even more powerful before falling under her control.[26] As a Devil, the Falling Devil possesses all of the standard Devil abilities.

Nigh-Absolute Immortality: Devils of the “Primal Fear” status are considered unkillable due to their power, hence why they never undergo reincarnation.[27] The Falling Devil affirmed that, at present, humanity has no means of attack that could kill a Primal Fear.[3] Immense Healing Factor: True to her claim of being unkillable, the Falling Devil can heal from any damage done to her no matter how severe. The regeneration seems automatic with no stamina cost (requiring no blood) and is so quick as to be barely visible. In one instance she was shown being reduced to a gory pile of flesh by sustained gunfire, yet in the next moment appeared fully healed, standing upright with her clothes intact.[28] Even when shredded to pieces and eaten by Denji in his Chainsaw Man form, it took her one second to reconstitute herself, doing so from within Denji's body with such force that the boy was ripped apart.

Hell Connection: The Falling Devil can freely manifest multiple doors that connect directly to Hell. This allows her to send certain individuals to Hell as well as travel freely between the two realms herself.

Gravity Manipulation: The Falling Devil can selectively manipulate gravity on herself, the environment, multiple objects or individual people. This power is so significant that her presence could be detected around the world as a result of gravitational anomalies causing earthquakes and landslides. The strength and direction of the manipulated gravity can be changed by simply pointing her finger in that direction.[30]

This ability includes: Traumatic Anti-Gravity: The Falling Devil possesses an ability that allows her to invert gravity on people, causing them to fall up into the sky. The force of reversed gravity is related to a person’s past and trauma, with those who have suffered little to no trauma being barely affected. Upon reaching a certain height, the person falls into a door to Hell.

Levitation: The Falling Devil can use the gravity manipulation ability on herself to freely move in any direction and at high speeds. She can also suspend herself in the air and keep herself stationary.

Area Denial: The Falling Devil can fully reverse gravity in its immediate vicinity, completely destroying the area.[31] She later used this ability again to force Asa out of her hiding spot. Targeted Control: The Falling Devil can also focus her power on a singular object and manipulate its gravity to her will. She used this ability to lift up an entire apartment building high into the air and then launch it towards the fleeing Denji and Asa.

Energy Beam: With a pointing gesture the Falling Devil can summon a powerful beam of energy from the sky. She used this ability to instantly kill the Justice Devil.

Thought Manipulation: Falling Devil can force its victims to relive traumatic memories in their minds. This ability complements her gravity manipulation which is tied to a victim's past trauma. However, this power can be resisted if the victim's brain is damaged, as Denji stopped falling after slicing his brain up.[32]

Emotion Manipulation: As shown when Asa began becoming affected by its power, the Falling Devil possess the power to draw out and magnify the negative feelings of her victims, causing them to become more inclined to her manipulating their thoughts such as making people commit suicide.

Psychic Assault: As shown when she once again confronted Denji after he defeated the Fake Chainsaw Man, The Falling Devil can directly send a psychic attack to her victim’s minds. As shown where she sent a disturbing illusion of the Fake Chainsaw man's twin brother, the one that Denji allowed to die due to choosing to save a cat from the Cockroach Devil instead, reprimanding him for his selfishness and hypocrisy. Clearly preying on Denji’s guilt and insecurity in order to facilitate her Trauma based anti-gravity powers on him and render him helpless against her.[33] Body Control: Aside from controlling her own vessel made out of human corpses, she appears to be able to force humans to move against their will, as seen by her forcing a Devil Hunter to sit in an unnaturally contorted position.[34]

Object Creation: The Falling Devil is able to summon/create various objects at will such as her chef's uniform and various restaurant-related utilities.

Dishes served by the Falling Devil so far are: Hors d'oeuvre, La Root Vonla (前ぜん菜さい　ラ・根ね・ヴォンラ Zensai: Ra ne Vonra?): The "appetizer". It consists of random people who were sent to hell with her gravity inversion ability.

De Root Atelanta (デ・根ね・アテランタ De ne Ateranta?): The "soup course". It's a potage made from the ears, nose, and tongue of several Devil Hunters alongside an alive Devil Hunter. She delivers him and the soup to hell where he's devoured by the Justice Devil.

Blood-Sauteed Human and Giraffe (人にん間げんとキリンの血ちソテー Ningen to Kirin no Chi Sotē?): A dish composed of the decapitated heads of several humans and a girafee

Key example: The Gun Devil In a single event, he killed millions of people in seconds. His mere existence completely changed the world's politics of fear: arms control, media hysteria, arms races with fragments of his body. Several countries possess pieces of the Gun Devil: Those fragments: They are used to attract other demons, They increase the country's military power, They serve as a tool of pressure. Conclusion: Demons are not just creatures that go out to kill, they are also geopolitical resources. — Demons as terror, demons as propaganda: Demons affect politics in several ways: As terror: Major incidents (like the Gun Devil incident) are used politically to: justify extreme security measures, centralize power, increase government control over the population. As propaganda: The existence of “heroes” like Chainsaw Man can be exploited: to reassure the population (“look, we have someone who protects us”), or to increase patriotism and faith in institutions. The fear of demons becomes a political tool.

— Japan and Public Security: using the enemy as a weapon. What exactly is Public Safety: A Japanese government-sanctioned demon-hunting organization that functions similarly to a fire brigade or specialized police force. His official job is: to be sent when a demon appears that threatens the population, to exterminate the demon or control it, and resolve demon-related incidents on behalf of the State. Where does it fit within the government? More formally, from a certain point onwards it is called: “National Devil Extermination Public Safety Commission” (National Commission for Public Security for the Extermination of Demons). That means that: • It's not an independent little group, • but rather a branch of Japan's Public Safety Commission, a state body that coordinates security forces to protect the public from demon violence. Both coexist, but Public Security is the "official" and "legally armed" part of the country.

— What is a demon? Here, a demon (devil) is: A supernatural entity that is born from human fear towards something. The exact origin of each hybrid varies (contracts, modifications, experiments), but in general they are unique entities that governments and organizations wish to control.
