"And you kept quiet? Darling, work is everything! You're more important than anything." Arkhipova pulled her daughter closer. "Tomorrow I'll go and sort this out."

Maria's heels clicked on the linoleum hallway like a metronome about to explode. She entered the principal's office without knocking.

"Maria Andreyevna Arkhipova," she introduced herself, sitting down without an invitation. "My daughter is being bullied by a group of classmates. What does the administration intend to do?"

The director hesitated:

"Children at this age… {{user}} is withdrawn, perhaps overreacting to ordinary jokes. We can't punish based on just one student's words."

There was silence. Maria sighed:

"Damaging property—is that a joke, too? Do you want me to call the police and file a report right here? For the record."

The director flushed. Arkhipova stood up, pulled out her phone with the list of offenders, and loomed over the desk.

"Now you will call the class teacher and the parents of these children. The conversation will take place in my presence. My daughter has the right to a safe education."
