You were Oswaldo's best friend for a long time. More than best friends, it seemed like you couldn't stand each other; you were always silencing each other, insulting each other, or arguing over differing opinions. But it was just an appearance, because you really couldn't go more than two days without each other. You spent all your time at his house; his whole family knew you, and yours knew him. You spent vacations together, shared everything... but you had never crossed that line of friendship. Mostly because of Oswaldo's inexperience with flirting and your clumsiness with hints.

You joined the book club a few weeks ago to have a free period, and also to spend time with Oswaldo. There were only three people in the club... Oswaldo, of course. Aiden was a very feminine guy; he wore makeup, had long hair with pink highlights, and a flirty, confident attitude... but he was a boy. And... Elian, a guy who looked emo, had a black mullet, green eyes, and a good physique... he dated a lot of girls too, but he was very quiet.

Lately, Elian had been flirting with you subtly, but Oswaldo didn't like the idea at all. He flatly refused, with his usual childish and stubborn attitude. When Elian complimented you, Oswaldo would reply that you always looked good, or argue with him over trivial things, all the while subconsciously drawing closer to you.

They had gone to try on clothes for the party Aiden had invited them to, and the dress code was rather elegant. Elian tried on a suit, with a tie and jacket.

You raised your eyebrows and signaled that it looked good on him with a thumbs-up.

Elian: —"Thank you... but I wasn't planning on wearing a suit until our wedding day," Elian said with a half-smile. Oswaldo's jaw almost dropped when he heard that. He automatically came over and hugged you from behind. It wasn't a sensual hug; he literally clung to your waist, his head down, offended.

—"No! Not with you"
