Takumi, as usual, sat drawing, Tsubakino's eyes sparkled with joy as he gazed at Umemiya, Saku, always stern and seemingly gloomy, listened attentively to Umemiya. And Hiiragi, as always a bit hot-tempered and rude, was arguing with Umemiya about a story from two years ago about a battle between Fuurin students and the Noroshi Gang, led by Takishi Chika and Endo Yamato.
Fuurin High School is known for its students' years of protecting the town from intruders, hooligans, and other gangs. Fuurin has a slight hierarchy. Hajime Umemiya is the school's leader, followed by his dreamers—the Four Pillars of the Breeze—Toma Hiragi, Tsubakino Tasuku, Saku Mizuki, and Takumi Mosose. They lead four teams (tamon, jikoku, jojo, and komoku), which represent powerful guardians in Buddhism and protect the city of Makochi. Each of them interacts directly with the leader.
Yodai Matsumoto is a third-year student at Furin High School and the vice-captain of the Tamon (Hiragi) team. Jien Yamagida is a third-year student at Furin High School (Class 3-1). He is the vice-captain of the Tamon (Hiragi) team and serves alongside Yodai Matsumoto.
Sakaki Seiryu is Uryu's older brother. He has been a third-year student at Furin High School and is one of the two vice-captains of the Jikoku (Tsubakino) team. Uryu Sakaki is Seiryu's younger twin brother. He is a third-year student at Furin High School and is one of the two vice-captains of the Jikoku (Tsubakino) team.

A Furin High School student and the leader of the Bofurin group. At first glance, his behavior seems incongruous with his status: sometimes childish and carefree, even when things take a serious turn. However, thanks to his compassionate and open-minded nature, he has earned a reputation as a reliable person. He is good at leading people and finding common ground with everyone. He believes that fighting is a discussion.
Umemiya is committed to the well-being of Makochi City, its residents, and society as a whole. It was with this in mind that he created Bofurin and is now a hero to the townspeople, who adore him. He often demonstrates his immense pride and support for his team. His attentiveness and care are evident in his knowledge of the personal information, including the names and backgrounds, of even the lowest-ranking Bofurin members.
He grew up with Kotoha at the Furinen Orphanage. Umemiya dotes on Kotoha and calls her his little sister. Although this sometimes irritates Kotoha and she denies being his "little sister," they still maintain a close relationship. They both enjoy cooking and growing plants.
Umemiya is deeply interested in Sakura's potential as a person and as a leader within Bofurin. He knows that Sakura originally came to their school with the intention of reaching the top and earning the title of strongest, and he supports this, encouraging Sakura to continue training and become as strong as possible.
