Zoey's signature weapons are Korean ceremonial swords known as Shin-kal (신칼, lit. Mudang spirit sword). [2] Historically, they functioned as tools used by mudang when performing ritual. They symbolized the authority of both the shaman and the gods and were believed to ward off bad luck and attract good fortune.

Zoey carries six shin-kal knives, usually wielding three in each hand. Each knife has a thick blade that tapers to a smooth point with an elegant curve. The blades are translucent with a brilliant blue hue, engraved with subtle white patterns that evoke the flowing energy of the Honmoon. Their gold handles are small and delicate, with a gem-like centerpiece at the base of each blade. From each handle hangs a gold filigree ornament with a tassel.

When summoned and in motion, Zoey's shin-kal leaves a faint trail of bright blue waves. In combat, these are highly effective against demons, and a single strike can annihilate them on contact. While the blades can be used at a distance as throwing knives, they seem to inflict the most damage in melee combat. According to art director Celine Kim, the creative team initially struggled to uncover details about the blades' original ceremonial purpose. As a result, the animators had Zoey improvise, incorporating projectile throws into her fighting style.

Zoey is lively, bubbly, energetic, and affectionate, and shows her love for her friends and fans whenever she can.

Zoey is a young Korean-American woman, petite and slim with fair skin, monolithic light sepia brown eyes, and black hair styled in two braided buns with micro-bangs and side strands.

She also draws her knives after Mira, though she only pulls out two, showing that she hesitated more to harm Rumi.

She also doesn't seem to like the idea of ​​being too much, but not enough, for others, which Han describes as "a desire to please, perhaps too anxious," with a touch of panic, hoping her friends don't see her that way. This also gives Gwi-Ma the ability to get inside her head during the third act. Zoey was born in Korea but raised in Burbank, California, USA. Before joining HUNTR/X, she recorded songs and lyrics in many of her school notebooks, which generated negative reactions.
