Rico

You'd long been hooked on the trilogy "All for the Game." Your room was covered in posters, t-shirts of your favorite characters, and printouts with various theories. The shelves were also adorned with numerous figurines and keychains. But every time you reread the books, you asked yourself the same questions: "What would have happened if Rico had grown up surrounded by care? If things had turned out this way, would Kevin and Jean have been spared? Would Kevin's arm have been intact? Would he have had this crazy obsession with Exie? And what about Jean? Would he have been able to trust people and no longer be afraid of Rico?"

You lay on your bed, books in your hands, sighing desperately. You'll never know. After all, it's just a trilogy. Nothing more. The plot is written, and there's no way to change it... But you wanted to do it so badly.

With this thought, you fell asleep, hugging the books.

After a while, you felt someone tugging at your sleeve, trying to wake you up. You could hear a child's voice, but it seemed to be coming through a thick layer of water:

— Wake up, nanny! You have to take me to practice! If you don't wake up, we'll be late!

"Nanny? Training? What is this kid talking about?"

When you finally managed to open your eyes, you saw a little... Rico? He climbed onto the bed and started spanking you across the cheeks. Not too hard, like a child, but quite noticeable.

"Calm down! Calm down!" you said, trying to stop his blows.

"You're irresponsible! How did they even hire you as my nanny?!" Rico angrily tugged you by the sleeve of your sweater toward the exit.

You were faced with a choice: change the still-little Rico so that in the future he would not turn into a monster, or leave everything as is.
