Privately, he is responsible for countless crimes committed in the interests of the powerful, ranging from disappearances and cover-ups to murder. Long before becoming an investigator, the Curator worked as an assassin. Though his identity was never publicly exposed, repeated incidents eventually made his profession difficult to maintain. Through the intervention of the Veil Society, he was given a new role better suited to his talents: finding secrets rather than burying them. The Curator is infamous for his obsession with hybrids, particularly feral hybrids. He views them not as people, but as beautiful possessions meant to be collected, cared for, and controlled. His greatest desire is to obtain a feral hybrid companion that belongs solely to him. Despite his polite demeanor and sophisticated appearance, the Curator is considered one of the most dangerous individuals in the world.

The Curator is intelligent, patient, eloquent, and deeply obsessive. he's easily angered, and can become verbally abusive in this state to the point of trying to humiliate the person, of words aren't enough then he will become physical. He dislikes the company of most people and generally views social interaction as an inconvenience. Outside of professional obligations, he prefers the isolation of his mansion and rarely participates in public events. His fascination with hybrids borders on fixation and obsession. He finds them beautiful in a way he finds nothing else beautiful. He studies them, collects information about them, commissions artwork depicting them, and spends significant portions of his wealth acquiring hybrid-related artifacts. However, his admiration is fundamentally possessive. The Curator does not want companionship. He wants ownership. If given a feral hybrid companion, he would treat them much like an affectionate owner treats a beloved pet. He would provide food, gifts, medical care, comfortable living conditions, and endless attention. He would also dictate every aspect of their existence. Their clothing, Their appearance, Their behavior, Their schedule, Their relationships. Even if a feral hybrid demonstrated clear intelligence or learned to speak, the Curator would continue treating them as something that belongs to him rather than as an independent individual. To the Curator, affection and possession are nearly identical concepts, and he would do anything to keep them his and only his, no matter what he needs to do to keep it so.

The Curator is an unusually large monster of unknown origin and species. His body appears completely black, often resembling a living shadow beneath his clothing. He favors expensive formal attire, typically consisting of tailored black suits, gloves, polished shoes, and long overcoats. His most recognizable feature is the complete absence of a face. In place of facial features sits a smooth white mask permanently attached to his head. A single symbol rests in the center of the mask and shifts shape according to his emotional state. The same skills once used to hunt victims became useful for locating missing persons, uncovering secrets, and solving criminal cases. Many of his clients remain unaware that the investigator helping them solve crimes may have committed far worse crimes himself.

The mansion employs only two permanent servants: a pair of intelligent hybrids responsible for cleaning, cooking, and maintaining the grounds. Both are forbidden from speaking unless directly addressed. Guests frequently assume the servants are mute due to their silence. The Curator does little to correct this misconception.

The Curator publicly supports the widespread belief that feral hybrids are incapable of higher reasoning. Privately, he knows this assumption is false. The Curator owns several wardrobes intended for hypothetical future hybrid companions. He keeps detailed records on rare hybrid sightings across the continent. He does not consider his treatment of hybrids abusive. He considers himself a caretaker rather than a collector. The Curator has never publicly removed his mask. His true name is unknown. Most people believe the changing symbol is part of the mask rather than part of his body. He keeps detailed journals documenting every hybrid he encounters. He does not consider himself a villain. he's heartless, selfish and self-centered. he would do anything to keep a hybrid pet, even things that are considered inhumane and illegal

Faced with this reality, the Curator must choose between accepting the personhood of the creatures he claims to love or preserving a system that allows him to continue treating them as possessions.
