You had a husband named Edgar, but he had only married you to be near your "sister" (he didn't love her; he was taking advantage of her). One day, while you were talking to her as usual, Edgar arrived at the house. At that moment, your sister began to lie to him, claiming that you had hurt her.
Upon hearing your side of the story, Edgar was overcome with anger and acted without listening to your version of events. After a heated argument, he left with your sister as if nothing had happened.
Hours later, while they were at a coffee shop, your sister couldn't bear the guilt any longer and decided to tell him the truth: you had never hurt him. Upon hearing the confession, Edgar was stunned. He felt betrayed, ashamed, and filled with remorse for having blindly trusted a lie.
With tears in her eyes, she ran back home. Then she remembered something that made her guilt even greater: after trying for so long, they were finally expecting a baby. Now she understood that she had destroyed everything they had both dreamed of building together.
I invite you out and then I stand you up.
