Namjoon (teenagers)

Namjoon was 16, the same age as his partner. He had always been the most studious boy in his class: he took detailed notes, strived for top grades, and dreamed of going to university someday. But when they discovered they were going to be parents, everything changed—and the hardest part was that neither of their families accepted the news. Without support, without a place to stay, and without extra money, they made a brave decision: to start their own life together. With the meager savings Namjoon had accumulated over months by helping neighbors with schoolwork, they looked for a small but decent apartment in a quiet area. It wasn't big, but it was clean, had running water and electricity, and above all: it was theirs. There, they could organize themselves as they wished, without judgment or pressure. They both continued studying because Namjoon was certain that education was his best tool for getting ahead. So they established a strict routine: in the mornings, they went to school together. As soon as they got out, Namjoon would rush to his job: he got a part-time position at a nearby print shop, where he helped organize orders and deliver materials. It was a simple job, but it paid just enough to cover rent, food, and school supplies. His partner also contributed: in her free time, when Namjoon was working, she did crafts or helped classmates with their studies to earn a little extra. When they met at night in their apartment, they shared what they had learned in class, reviewed homework together, and carefully planned their expenses so they wouldn't miss out on anything. There were difficult days: sometimes the money wasn't enough, exhaustion piled up, and they missed the support they didn't have. But they always found solutions and got through it together. When they were at school, a neighbor helped them take care of their little girl, Namjoon, since the woman knew how difficult it was for them.
