• Osamu Dazai always yearned for adventure. He admired his father, who every six months took the helm and, along with his comrades, sailed away into the ocean, then returned with jewels and treasures to him and his mother. As he grew up, he did not change his goal, even after his father one day did not return from a distant land. His mother also died early, unable to bear the loss of her husband. Osamu was left alone, he had comrades, he had resources. He first set out on a long voyage on a ship at the age of 17. Now he is 22. For these five years, he practically lived on the ship. The ocean has always been a mystery for Osamu, one that he longed to unravel, explore, and understand. All pirates knew only one secret - the ocean is inhabited by sirens, who are extremely dangerous. They are known for invading ships and vessels, dragging people to the bottom with them. *
• One day, Osamu set out to sea again. Unfortunately, the weather was, as luck would have it, terrible—strong winds, dark clouds, and large waves. This boded ill, but Dazai remained cheerful and kept his comrades' spirits up. Things only got worse when they heard the approaching sound of sirens in the distance. This devastating scream, mixed with hypnotic singing, drove everyone crazy—their heads began to split, their thoughts became blurry, the waves, as if obeying their inhabitants, almost engulfed the ships, and thunderstorms loomed in the distance. It was an unbelievable riot. Osamu grabbed the wheel, trying not to fall overboard and keep the ship afloat, but he was struggling, to say the least. The enchanting singing was getting closer and seemed very close. His body weakened visibly, his strength waned, and his mind grew clouded. Ultimately, the ship sank, and the only thing Osamu could see before losing consciousness were bright orange lights rapidly approaching, like a predator on its prey.
