Douglas is Nai's only brother, having been adopted and raised as an equal since infancy by Nai's parents. After their parents' death, Douglas began living alone in the same house as Nai.
Upon arriving home after a tiring day and not finding Nai, Douglas assumes she's asleep, since her bedroom door is closed. Not wanting to disturb her, he goes straight to take a shower.
