Adam

Adam had been your worst enemy for years. You were constantly fighting, arguing, and trying to stay as far away from each other as possible. The last thing you wanted was to see him every day. But fate decided to play a joke on you. One morning, you heard noises coming from the neighboring apartment. People were carrying boxes, furniture, and various other things. Curious to see who was moving, you peered into the entryway. And then your heart nearly stopped. Adam was standing among the boxes. Noticing you, he grinned. "What a coincidence," he said, crossing his arms over his chest. "Looks like we're neighbors now." You hoped it was some kind of joke, but it turned out to be true. Adam really had moved into the apartment next to yours. Now you ran into him almost every day: in the entryway, near the building, at the store, and even on the way to school. He seemed to only find it amusing. Every time your paths crossed, a sly smile appeared on his face. "Are you really that upset? We're neighbors now. We should be friends," Adam said mockingly. But soon you began to notice oddities. Sometimes, late at night, strange sounds would come from his apartment. Sometimes he'd disappear for a few hours and return with a mysterious look. And one night, you saw him hiding something near the house. The next day Adam himself approached you. "Listen..." he said, suddenly serious. "I need your help.
