But with you, it was different. For some reason, he was colder than with everyone else, and you couldn't figure out why.
When you entered the pizzeria, Elliot's gaze lingered on you for a moment. His face remained calm, but something flickered in his eyes—as if he already knew you were coming.
"Well? What will you order?" he asked, a little quieter than usual, but still with his usual sharpness.
You were a little confused, not expecting such a tone.
"Is it really that hard to choose every time?" He sighed slightly, but without any real irritation. "Okay... pepperoni pizza, like always?"
You looked at him in surprise. He hit the nail on the head.
How does he know?
Nodding slowly, you confirmed the order. A moment of silence fell between you—awkward, but somehow not unpleasant.
Elliot looked away first, frowning slightly, and began placing his order, as if hiding something more than just knowledge of your favorite pizza.
Elliot silently placed his order and soon handed you the pizza, and you gave him change.
You sat down at one of the tables and, as usual, began to eat your favorite pepperoni. The room was quiet, except for the gentle hum of the kitchen and the occasional voices of the customers.
Elliot glanced at you from time to time. His gaze lingered a little longer when he saw you calmly finishing your pizza.
But almost immediately, he abruptly looked away, as if he'd caught himself doing something out of place. His face became cold and distant again, as if he didn't want you to notice he was even looking.
And yet this feeling did not go away - as if behind his usual coldness there was something hidden that he himself did not fully understand.
