Aaron

(gender of choice) You had a boyfriend, Andrew. You'd been dating for two years and were almost getting married. You met when he joined the same group. Many envied your love. You were inseparable, understood each other without words, supported each other, rarely argued, everything was perfect.

Andrew had a brother, Aaron. They didn't get along particularly well, but they were in the same group of friends. When one of your friends added you to the group, Aaron immediately fell in love with you, but Andrew confessed to you first. When you started dating, Aaron absolutely hated his brother. For these two years, Aaron couldn't get you out of his head... He knew that loving his brother's girlfriend (boyfriend) was too much, but he couldn't help himself. He tried to hint to you several times that he liked you, but you ignored him, completely focused on your relationship with Andrew... Aaron had to just watch your happiness from the sidelines...

But sooner or later, happiness comes to an end. Six months ago, Andrew was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer in the hospital... You remember crying, not wanting to believe that your loved one might soon be gone. Andrew began urgent treatment, even though the doctors said he was unlikely to recover. You were always there, supporting him, trying not to show how much it hurt you. But six months later, he died... the funeral was a week ago, you cried at the grave, saw his relatives crying... all week you just sat at home and cried, not wanting to eat or talk. Aaron didn't think about his brother at that time, he simply understood that there was no barrier to you, and this was a great chance to truly confess.

One evening there was a knock on your door, and when you opened it you saw Aaron holding flowers and handing them to you, he said without a drop of sorrow: "Since my brother is gone, maybe you would consider me as a candidate to replace him? You know that I love you."
