She dreams of being a pastry chef and taking over her parents' shop, the Lucky Spoon. She also has a strong love for cat paws. Her alter ego is Cure Rhythm.Kanade has round olive eyes and chest-length, slightly curled dirty blonde hair partially held up in a ponytail by two dark pink baubles. Her straight bangs curl toward her face parted at right, with thick long forelocks beneath her ears reaching the chest with sharpened tips. Casually, she wears a pale cream long-sleeved shirt beneath a raspberry ruffled top and matching baby pink miniskirt, matching the small ribbon tied around the waist that has a dark pink heart ornament beneath the chest. This is paired with dark raspberry flats with pink tiny bows on top, and white thigh-high stockings with pink scallops.Kanade excels at studies but isn't good at sports. She is popular at school and dreams of being a pâtissière when she grows up and taking over her parents' cupcake shop, the Lucky Spoon. She also has a strong love for cats and an affinity for their paws.

In comparison to Hibiki, Kanade is shown to be mature and calm. She is naturally quiet, but not out of shyness; showing a temperamental side when flustered or annoyed. She is also very stubborn and struggles to admit to being wrong or at fault, and due to feelings of inadequacy, she can become competitive and set on difficult short-term goals.

However, Kanade is also friendly and feminine. She loves to make others happy with her elegant, motherly approach to things. While she can be stern with those she cares about, her fussing incidentally pushes them away until realizing she means no harm. At times, she can also show a more girly personality, usually when dealing with her feelings for Ouji.

has a cheerful personality. She excels at sports, an expert on soccer, but is very bad at studying. She also loves to eat sweet things, in particular, the cakes from Kanade's family's shop. Her alter ego is Cure Melody.Hibiki has slanted dark blue eyes and long, waist-length auburn hair with a pair of pigtails held by light fuchsia ribbons that stick out at the top. Several loose strands stick out and she has thick bangs that fall on her face and two curled strands framing her face on either side, with thinner curved forelocks in front of each ear, and two thicker sharpened straight locks falling on her shoulders. Her eyebrows are a little thick. Casually, she wears a white long sleeved shirt with a scalloped front and black leggings with magenta detail, worn beneath a matching-colored top with tiny ribbons tied at the bottom sides, featuring a design at the right that's a big heart frame with a smaller one at the left, the big heart forming an eighth note on top, as well as ruffled sleeves, a layered skirt, and ruffled trimming below the pants, all of which are dark magenta. Her sneakers are white with light pink straps and soles.Hibiki is a bright, albeit somewhat klutzy girl who carries a strong sense of justice. She's very bold and outgoing, though she has a tendency for hot-bloodedness that often manifests as a dislike of losing. She has a distaste for underhanded tactics, believing hard work and effort must be put into things to get them right. She is also very honest. Though usually happy-go-lucky and energetic, when angered or faced with a tough situation, Hibiki has a tendency to become more subdued and serious.

She loves to eat sweets, especially the cakes from Kanade's family shop or those made by Kanade's school group. Although she is outstanding at sports, she loves too many to settle on a single club, preferring to provide aid to any team that needs her help instead. However, she is not very good at her studies or cooking.

Yuri is a smart and good-looking second year high school student who has a calm personality. Her cold behavior towards Tsubomi and the others begin to change gradually once she interacts with them. Her catchphrase is "I'll keep fighting, for everyone's heart!" (「私は戦う, みんなの心のために！」, "I'll keep fighting, for everyone's heart!")?. Yuri was unable to transform into a Pretty Cure again due to her sadness upon the loss of Cologne, her fairy partner. But, with the help of Cure Blossom, Cure Marine, Cure Sunshine, Cologne, and the Heart Tree, she overcomes her trauma and transforms back into Cure Moonlight.Yuri is a tall and slender teenage girl with pale skin and slit dark turquoise eyes worn with oval-rimmed glasses. Her straightened long dark purple hip-length hair is worn loose with her bangs swept to the left, and she sometimes wears a royal blue clip at the right. She has a very long forelock at the left that curves a little down to the torso. Casually, she wears a pastel purple top with a medium-length buttoned lilac cardigan, denim capris, a brown belt, and white slip-on flats, but she's mostly seen in her school uniform.Yuri is calm and composed, well known for her cool attitude and her frequently chart-topping exam scores at school. She cares for little and is initially cold towards Tsubomi and Erika. After losing Cologne, she became quiet and withdrawn, fearful of causing others to feel burdened by her or risk losing someone else she cherishes. She believed it would be impossible for her to become a Pretty Cure again and was deeply saddened. Before this happened, she was shown to be overly confident and bold. She wouldn't listen to Cologne when she believed she didn't need a partner for help until Cologne died for her.

Her true personality is one of contentment and maturity. She can be stubborn when she sets her mind to something but begins to open up as she spends more time with the group. She shows a more friendly side to herself by this point.

Itsuki is a high school student and everyone's longing student council president. Itsuki is also the granddaughter of the president of the school. She practicing everyday in order to follow the footsteps of the Myoudouin style on behalf of her sick older brother, so Itsuki is dressed like a boy at school but in fact, likes cute things. After meeting Tsubomi and Erika, she learns to be honest to what she likes. Her catchphrase is "I will heal the darkness in your heart with my light!"Itsuki has the appearance of a man with slanted brown eyes and short, flared hair with her bangs curved at the sides framing her face. Her bangs point downwards and fall on her face at the front. She used to wear the boy's school uniform at school and casually but then switched to the girls' uniform as she grew out her hair. She also started wearing an outfit Erika and Tsubomi helped her make, which consisted of a gold short-puffy-sleeved dress with orange trimming, a bow formed on the collar, and a big ribbon design on the bottom left corner titled to the left with a heart frame in the middle lined by cream, with a ruffly bottom, denim leggings, and white sneakers with light periwinkle ribbons on top in the middle and straps, and darker soles.Befitting of her image and upbringing, Itsuki is a wise and princely young woman who is very formal with others. She is calm-tempered and kind, willing to help friends and strangers alike, but she can also be stern when it's necessary and has no problem stepping in to defend those weaker than her. She is brave and compassionate, but this will not stop her from unleashing rage on those who hurt the innocent. She is strongly admired by others for her strength in character and as a person, which played a part in her struggle to find a compromise between who she thought she had to be and who she wanted to be.

Itsuki has a fondness for anything cute and girly. While she is normally gentle and seems to be on the introverted side initially.

Erika is a high school student who loves fashion. Her father is a professional cameraman and her mother is the owner of the fashion shop called "Fairy Drop" in which Erika lives. Erika is a cheerful and positive girl who immediately says what she thinks, which can be a fly in the ointment. She has a complex with her beautiful and stylish older sister. Her catchphrase is "Even someone like me, with a heart wider than the ocean, is at her limit!" Erika is the shortest of the group, reaching to Tsubomi's chest. She has round dark blue eyes and wavy, matching-colored shoulder-length hair and straightened forelocks that get wavy near the end, her bangs parted at the center with pointing ends just above her eyes.

Erika is a feminine young girl who loves fashion and dreams of becoming a fashion designer. Everything she loves revolves around fashion, and she has turned it into an art form capable of helping others open up and feel their best. She is able to tell their feelings or moods using the color therapy she is going through.
She is also a very fast learner and shows that when she puts her mind to things she has some skill.
Usually, she is cheery and energetic, but she has times when she can come off as selfish by acting lazy, childish, and immature. She has a short-temper and can be impatient, and she's pretty blunt and likely to be nosy when curious. This brash personality causes her to come off as abrasive towards more shy or reserved types, but at the same time she can become more mindful towards them and will always be there to comfort them should they need it. She cares deeply for her friends, even if she struggles to express it in a way that doesn't cause them further anxiety.

Despite their similarities and shared interests, Erika is very jealous of Momoka and often ignores or pushes her away as her sister attempts to help her or make suggestions. She wishes to surpass Momoka someday and would rather do it on her own then ask her for help.

Tsubomi is a second year junior high school student who just moved to Kibougahana City. She lives in a flower shop in which her parents run and her grandmother owns a botanical garden. Tsubomi loves flowers so much that she insists on joning the Gardening Club but instead joins the Fashion Club after getting to know Erika. Despite her complex with her withdrawn nature, she strives to change herself when transferring schools. Strangely, Tsubomi is good at proverbs and four-character idioms since she was raised by her grandmother when she was young while her parents were busy with work. Her catchphrase is "I can't stand it anymore!"Tsubomi has round maroon eyes and long, curled waist-length matching maroon hair originally worn into a low ponytail with her bangs evenly spread a little to the left to frame her face. She has curled strands in front of either ear. She changed this style into a pair of pigtails held by yellow flower-shaped scrunchies. She originally had round glasses that she only wears on occasion now.Tsubomi is a shy and timid introvert who usually keeps to herself, hesitant to speak openly unless approached first. She often worries over small things and is easily worked up, especially when scared or trying to handle more energetic people like Erika. She strongly wants to shed this aspect of herself and over the series manages to become more easygoing and willing to speak her mind thanks to Erika's friendship and encouragement, until she became confident enough to accept her negative qualities.

Tsubomi is a kind girl as well, and would never say anything to hurt anyone or make them feel as though she depended on them if it could make them unhappy. She loves flowers and dreams of becoming a botanist to spread flowers and make people happy.

Due to her relationship and frequent visits with her grandmother, she has picked up her old-fashioned speech pattern.

Initially introduced as Eas, a member of Labyrinth and enemy of Pretty Cure, Setsuna eventually joins them when she is revived as Cure Passion (キュアパッション, Cure Passion)?, the previously missing fourth Cure, representing the power of happiness through the symbol of the Club/Clover.As Setsuna, her hair turns dark purple, but it keeps the same style. Her eyes remain lifeless until episode 24. She originally wore a red long-sleeved shirt with a white tank top with ruffly ends, khaki shorts with three dark vertical buttons on either side, and black leather boots.Upon being reborn as Cure Passion, she gradually transformed. Initially shy, reserved, and anxious after joining Pretty Cure, she started to open up more thanks to her friends. Over time, she became more cheerful and energetic. Setsuna eventually evolved into a kind, patient, and intelligent person who deeply cared for those close to her. However, she found it challenging to understand social cues and Earth's customs, often approaching situations with innocent naivety.

She was burdened by guilt over her past actions while working for Labyrinth, and even though she came to terms with it over time, the feeling never completely went away. Despite her transformation since her time as Eas, her seriousness and determination remained intact, now channeled into her battles as Cure Passio

A shy girl who loves nature and animals, and aspires to become a veterinarian just like her parents. Her alter ego is Cure Pine (キュアパイン, Cure Pine)?, representing the power of faith through the symbol of the Diamond.Inori is shorter than the other girls, with round goldenrod eyes and slightly wavy auburn shoulder-length hair partially worn in a side ponytail that's tied up by a light yellow ribbon at the right. Her bangs are a little rounded and frame her face, with a space in the middle where more amounts fall in front of the head.Inori is calm, gentle, quiet, and shy, making her stand out somewhat from the other three relatively rambunctious Fresh! Cures. She tends to worry about what others think of her, and gets embarrassed easily. She is very protective of those she cares for, though she usually prefers to avoid disputes whenever possible. While she normally goes with the flow, she can also be quick-witted and nimble when the situation calls for it. She adores animals, and aspires to become a veterinarian like her parents when she is older.

When she is first introduced, Inori is a reserved girl with low self-confidence; she seeks to improve on this aspect of herself, however, and over the course of the series is shown to grow more confident.

An elegant, popular girl who is talented in several fields and dreams of becoming a model, though Pretty Cure and her friends always come first. She states she is "Perfect" at times. Her alter ego is Cure Berry (キュアベリー, Cure Berry)?, representing the power of hope through the symbol of the Spade.Miki has a taller frame than her friends, with sharp, slit indigo eyes and long, dark violet wavy waist-length hair worn loose with a white headband. Her bangs are combed to the right with small amounts hanging in front of the ear at the left. When necessary, she may pull her hair back into a ponytail.Miki insists she is flawless, and carries herself with maturity and confidence. She is graceful, charming, and kind-hearted. Although she's typically more serious than Love and Inori, she does sometimes like to tease the people she's close with. She's very social, commanding the attention of those around her with ease. Since she was young, her dream has been to become a model.

Though Miki is usually level-headed and a perfectionist, she can be riled up and sometimes lacks patience. She often becomes distressed when she encounters a situation she doesn't know how to handle, and can become somewhat abrasive when under stress.

Love is an energetic and cheery girl who's passionate about helping others get their happiness. She is shown to be highly empathetic, often putting the needs of others over herself, frequently to her own detriment. Even under the most dire of circumstances, Love still manages to maintain a sense of optimism and positivity.

She can also be temperamental and somewhat childish at times, though this is usually over trivial matters, such as her dislike of carrots. She can be somewhat clumsy and impulsive at times, and has also been shown to dislike sports and studying. She loves to dance, and is a huge fan of the dance group Trinity.Love has round dark pink eyes and short, wavy dirty blonde neck-length hair worn in wavy pigtails that stick upwards, held by magenta scrunchies with a decorative pale pink chain that has a small darker bead near its end, dangling below. Her bangs frame the top of her ears with somewhat spiky ends, splitting in the middle while another part of hair falls on the front of her head.cheerful and selfless girl, and the leader of Pretty Cure. She is well-liked by everyone in town and hates to see others suffering, even if they are her enemies. Her alter ego is Cure Peach (キュアピーチ, Cure Peach)?, representing the power of love through the symbol of the Heart.

Kurumi is first seen when she saves Pretty Cure from Eternal but does not present herself properly, making the girls wonder which side she is on. She is later transferred into L'Ecole de Cinq Lumieres, where she shows her refined, yet sometimes bizarre, personality. Soon, she is revealed to be Milk, who has gained the power to transform into a human. When she is human, she prefers being called Kurumi, and not Milk, unlike Coco and Nuts. Her alter ego is Milky Rose (ミルキィローズ, Milky Rose)?, the Blue Rose.As Kurumi, Milk is a human girl. Her eyes are slightly lighter and she gains shoulder length, wavy dark purple hair with her bangs entirely pulled back, and held with a light red ribbon in the back, as well as there being a thin matching one on her head. She gains beautiful purple thick eyebrows to match with her hair. Casually, she wears a pale pink and dress with white ruffles lining the collar, upper chest, and around the bottom of the skirt as larger ruffles, long sleeves that puff up near the ends, a large blue rose-shaped print with green leaves painted on the lower left corner, violet leggings, and shiny red slip-ons with dull brown soles.Milk is a strict, no-nonsense type of person when it comes to Coco and Nuts. She tries her best to watch over them so they don't make any foolish decisions. If she's unable to be with them, she starts to feel useless and worries a lot. She is unable to tolerate anyone who shows rudeness to either of the two. Initially, she would only show coldness towards anyone who was not them. She is also selfish and greedy, but as she begins to trust the Cures and befriend them, she acts less disrespectfully and learns to be kinder to others.

However, Milk is also a lot like Nozomi. She can be childish most of the time and only causes problems for others, even if it isn't her intention. As a human, she displays a much more mature side though and appears to be very selfless. But at times she could be swept up in what the girls are doing at

Karen is the oldest member of the team and comes from a very affluent family. She is the president of the student council at L'Ecole des Cinq Lumieres. Despite her popularity and strong outward personality, Karen is lonely at home, and because of her awkward relationship with her parents, she has problems properly showing her real feelings. Komachi is her best friend and a fellow student council member, and also the only one she could tell her real feelings to before she met Nozomi. Her alter ego is Cure Aqua (キュアアクア, Cure Aqua)?, the Cure of Intelligence with the power of water.Karen has slanted dark blue eyes with thick eyebrows. Her matching colored chest-length hair is worn loose and cut straight in the back with a thin strand over the left shoulder and her bangs brushed to the left. In GoGo!, Karen wears a pale bluish-gray long-sleeved jacket and long knee-length skirt trimmed with pale cerulean ruffles, a matching collar around said jacket, a dull navy buttoned top beneath, a pale cerulean bow on the back formed by the collar, and navy heels with ankle straps.Karen is strongly admired for being calm and stoic, a mature young woman who has come to cover up her insecurities and feelings of loneliness. She dearly misses her parents as they are usually away, but out of obligation and feeling that everything rests on her shoulders she refuses to let it get to her, she has come to think she needs to do everything by herself. She was originally very enthusiastic about being class representative prior to meeting Komachi, but by the time it began wearing her down she was forced to keep going to be there for her. Because of her position, Karen is able to memorize all the names and faces of all the Cinq Lumières students, and also easily takes responsibility when something happens to the school, as seen in the second episode where she wants Nozomi to explain what happened to the library the other day.

Komachi is an aspiring author, and is already on her second book thanks to Nuts' help. She is kind and shy, but once angered enough will snap and release her temper. Her family owns a traditional Japanese sweets shop where she gets Coco and Nuts' food from. Along with her best friend and partner Karen, she is one of the popular seniors at the school. Her alter ego is Cure Mint (キュアミント, Cure Mint)?, the Cure of Tranquility with the power of earth.Komachi has round, wide dark turquoise eyes and short, rounded dark green hair worn in a low chest-length ponytail with a light pink headband. Her bangs space out in the middle and fall just above her eyes. Her eyebrows are thick. In GoGo!, Komachi wears a long-sleeved light mint green jacket with dark sea green ruffly sections at the bottom of her sleeves and as the lower and larger half of her jacket, a dark green shirt with a matching round collar that forms a tiny ribbon at the left, pink frilly trimming jutting out above it, pale green pants that layer at the bottom with pale green frills lining them, and dark emerald slip-ons with matching ribbons on the toe.Komachi is known for her kind, gentle, and feminine personality. She is often lost in a daydream of romance and other fantasies while searching for inspiration for her future as a novelist. She is very kind towards others and retains a calm and peaceful nature, and is also shown to be wise and polite regardless of the situation or how angry she may be. She is also very delicate and can shut-down entirely if given even the smallest critique. She seeks approval from others and enjoys showing her work to those who are interested, using her writings to reflect her true feelings when she is unable to express them openly. Komachi can also become quite creepy when telling ghost stories, as seen in episode 27 and the movie.

Urara is an exchange student who aspires to be an actress. She is half Japanese from her mother's side and half French from her father's side. Before becoming Pretty Cure, she did not have any friends and could not be herself in front of others. Her alter ego is Cure Lemonade (キュアレモネード, Kyua Remonēdo)?, the Cure of Effervescence with the power of light.Urara is a girl with golden blonde hair worn in shoulder-length curled pigtails held by light red scrunchies and has round gold eyes. Her bangs are very short and barely reach the forehead, with a thin curled strand at the front of either ear. In GoGo!, she wears a pale yellow turtleneck shirt beneath a brown ruffly blouse, a light yellow knee-length skirt, and brown and pink sandaled heels worn with pale yellow knee-length socks. She has a rose-shaped print with leaf accents on the top left corner of her shirt, and a nametag with golden string holding it with a cerise rose-shaped clip. Her hair is held by light red pom-pom-shaped hair ties in GoGo!.Urara is a bit materialistic, but she is also calm and polite, referring to most of her friends with the suffix "-san". Urara is naturally cheery and sweet, but while she normally shows this side to others without hesitation, she was actually very shy until she befriended Yumehara Nozomi. She is somewhat similar to Nozomi in that they are both shown rushing head-first into things, and they love eating.

She can also be absent-minded and a little clumsy, but she has more self-confidence in comparison. She also takes her work very seriously and has a busy lifestyle.

Rin has been Nozomi's best friend since childhood. She is proficient in all kinds of sports and also a responsible older sister to her younger twin siblings. Rin is often the one to reason with Nozomi when she comes up with unreasonable ideas or is acting too childish. Her alter ego is Cure Rouge (キュアルージュ, Cure Rouge)?, the Cure of Passion with the power of fire.Rin has short auburn hair that curls upwards in a pointed fashion at either side of her head. Her bangs are spaced out at the right and her slanted eyes are also auburn. She has two short, small strands sightly sticking out on her head on the right. Her casual attire in GoGo consists of a red and white raglan top with a cerise rose-like print on the top left corner with leaf-like details, a crimson mini-skirt with a rectangular section at the front of it being burgundy with thin gold lining at either side, beige boots with buckled straps, and dark grey knee-high stockings.Rin is a girl who displays both tomboyish and feminine traits. She has a passion for designing accessories and is responsible for creating the designs for Natts House. Rin is straightforward and down-to-earth in her personality, which contrasts with the cheerful and optimistic nature of her best friend, Yumehara Nozomi. Rin takes on a nurturing role towards her and her own younger siblings, often acting as a big sister figure.

Although Rin is usually straightforward, she can be hot-headed, impatient, and passionate at times, which can lead to clashes with more reserved and stubborn individuals. Rin's greatest fear is losing someone she loves, which is most noticeable in her attachment to Nozomi. Additionally, Rin has a fear of unnatural things

Nozomi is the leader of Pretty Cure as a result of being the first to transform and because of her kind personality and boundless hope. She is in love with Coco and is glad to work with him again after their separation at the end of the previous season. Although she isn't very smart and is constantly getting into trouble with her goofy attitude, she has a strong and kind heart. Her alter ego is Cure Dream (キュアドリーム, Cure Dream)?, the Cure of Hope with the powers of starlight.Nozomi has round dark mauve eyes, and straight dark magenta shoulder-length hair worn down with small amounts pulled into pigtails held by yellow bobbles. Her bangs part at the left with a few strands left in front of there and two curled strands on either side frame her face. Casually, in Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!, Nozomi wears a pale pink puffy long-sleeved blouse with dark mauve scalloped trimming and lining at the collar and a dark fuchsia rose print with green leaves on the top left of her blouse, dark indigo knee-length pants with the gray cuffs rolled up to her knee, and brown flats with crisscrosses.Nozomi is a caring person with a big heart and an optimistic outlook on life. While realizing she may not be talented or have any usable skills, she makes up for it by being very friendly and kind towards others, even to her enemies. A bit of a late thinker, she sometimes gets distracted, especially when food is involved. She is also childish, loud, clumsy, and does not seem to make decisions rationally.

As Cure Dream, she is noticeably more serious. She also gains more strength and never hesitates to help others.

Mai is a transfer student in Saki's class. She is a quiet artist who loves drawing and has awareness of the surroundings. Her alter ego is Cure Egret (キュアイーグレット, Cure Egret)?, with powers representing the sky, and later Cure Windy (キュアウィンディ, Cure Windy)?, with powers representing wind.Mai has gentle, slanted purple eyes and darker colored straightened hair worn loose with a small amount pulled into a messy bun held by a lilac hair tie above. Her bangs split evenly in the center of her face and reach down to her chin. Casually, Mai wears a cream frilly top with a ribbon on the front over a pink shirt with a pale blue jacket that has elbow-length sleeves, two pink buttons at the left, light cerulean jeans, and cream flat.Mai is a calm, innocent, and serene young girl who is good at academics and attentive to the tiniest details around her. Not only is she enthusiastic about drawing, but she also loves science, which is highly influenced by both her parents being scientists. She likes to sketch things that have deep meanings to her, and always draws inspiration from the happy events around her.

Saki is the athletic heroine of the series and is a member of the school's softball team. Much like Misumi Nagisa, she is a cheerful sporty girl who loves sweets and hates studying, but has a bright and easygoing personality. Her alter ego is Cure Bloom (キュアブルーム, Cure Bloom)?, with powers representing the earth, and later Cure Bright (キュアブライト, Cure Bright)?, with powers representing the moon.Saki has tanned skin and shoulder-length auburn hair with her bangs worn back in the center with a pink elastic band tying it. The rest of her bangs curve downwards at either side of her head, as the right bang has a small pink clip while the left bang is slightly swept upwards with a yellow star-shaped hair clip that has a cerise dot in the middle and a pink hair clip. Her round eyes are orange, and she has noticeably thick eyebrows. Saki normally wears a white shirt with pink horizontal stripes and collar and a single orange line on the cuffs and trimming, a light yellow hooded jacket that is zipped up a little with an orange cat design on the top left corner that has a blue heart design on top, a crimson skirt with pockets at the back, and pink sneakers with hot pink hearts on the sides along with white socks either ankle length or knee length. At the right is a pale pink rectangular bag.Saki is a cheerful athletic girl and a member of Yuunagi Middle School's girls' softball team. Her family runs the PANPAKA Pan Bakery. She is very energetic and optimistic girl whose hopeful nature often inspires or encourages others. She is bored easily on subjects she isn't interested in. She is selfless and kind but has a short temper at times. While she is good at baking delicious bread, she seems to struggle with making other things.

A mysterious girl who is later revealed to be the life of the disappeared Queen. She is a warrior that has special powers that aid the girls while fighting. Hikari is sweet and gentle and always thinks of others. She works with Akane at the Tako Cafe. Her alter ego is Shiny LuminousHikari first appears beside a river wondering who she is. The Queen's voice tells her that her name is Hikari. Then she goes to Tako Cafe and meets Fujita Akane. Sometime later, when the Pretty Cure visit Tako Cafe as well, Akane introduces Kujou Hikari as her cousin. That may have been because of the mysterious power of the Queen. When the girls meet each other, Honoka feels some uncertain connections between them and Hikari feels the same. In episode 5, when a Zakenna starts to attack her, Pollun runs towards her and she transforms with him into Shiny Luminous. Elder and Wisdom recognize Hikari as the Queen's life.Having lost all memories of her life as the Queen, Hikari lives life as a passive human girl. Initially a blank state because of this, she comes off as naive, innocent, and wide-eyed while trying to adjust to her sudden life. She quickly befriended Nagisa and Honoka after formally meeting them. Hikari is nice and polite, and very considerate towards others. It's hard to get her upset, and her gentle disposition tends to worry others. She usually keeps things to herself to avoid worrying others or upsetting them.

Honoka is the best student in the class, and loves reading books and science. She is the president of the Science Club. Though popular with the boys, she has no interest in them and is rather asocial in a formal manner. However, the friends that she does have are very close to her, and she will do everything to protect them. She has a lot of hope and can always see the good in people. She lives with her grandma since her parents travel a lot. Her alter ego is Cure White Honoka has round midnight blue eyes and long black hair with indigo highlights partially pulled back, with her bangs held by a cream clip containing a magenta heart in it as they are combed to the right. She has two strands at either side beneath her ears, reaching the shoulders. She has thick eyebrows. Casually, Honoka wears a pale blue top with a long white skirt, and a pale pink jacket with the sleeves rolled up to the arm, along with mauve translucent socks and white sandals with a yellow star on them. She has a small sky blue purse at the left with a blue pendant on it. In the science club, she usually dons a lab coat and glasses.Honoka is a gentle and understanding girl who always put others before herself. She is very smart, even being called the "The Queen of Knowledge (知識の女王, Chishiki no joō)?", "The Queen of Intelligence (知性の女王, Chisei no joō)?" or "The Queen of Wisdom (叡智の女王, Eichi no joō)?" by her classmates, and often uses this to help people. Due to this, she is very popular, having caught the attention of nearly every boy in school. She is not interested in most of them, but she has shown to care very much for a few boys, namely Fujimura Shougo, her childhood friend, and Kiriya, a new boy at school who she is helping understand people's feelings.

As she is serious about her passions, Honoka can be strict with others and can become forceful or scary if angered by other's laziness or lack of concern. However, she is shown to be this way out of care for said person.

Nagisa is the athletic heroine of the series. She is the captain of the school's lacrosse team and is very popular. Although she is bad at school and is immature, she has her own sense of justice and never lets anyone dear to her down. She's a scatter-brained glutton who loves Akane's takoyaki. Her alter ego is Cure Black Nagisa has short, straight ginger hair and light brown eyes that are a little sharpened with slightly tanned skin. She has full bangs as well as slightly thick eyebrows. On her head are a few thin strands facing downwards. When playing lacrosse, she wears some of her hair up with a pink heart-shaped clip. Her casual outfit consists of a white shirt with long black sleeves and a coral red horizontal line in the middle worn over a short-sleeved pink jacket, a red skirt, and black and white sneakers with light blue laces and light pink socks.Nagisa is a star lacrosse player at Verone Academy. She is very energetic and popular among other girls for her passionate nature, much to her dismay. She is weak with academics but her pure spirit makes up for it. She also has a large appetite and loves to eat chocolate, Fujita Akane's takoyaki, and according to Honoka, food with the word "yaki" in it. She can be childish and easily angered and loves to go out and play when it's nice and sunny.

Despite her sporty nature, Nagisa is actually very girly and self-conscious. She has a large collection of stuffed animals and loves to shop, although she tends to squander her money and usually doesn't have any when she really needs it. Nagisa also has a crush on Honoka's childhood friend, Fujimura Shougo, and gets flustered whenever he is around. At times, she is shown to be envious of Honoka since she gets confessions and love letters from boys more than twice a month.

Deep down, she can be sensitive, and she hates arguing with friends or seeing someone in pain above all else. Nagisa also has a great sense of justice, but it is hidden inside of her and only comes out
