CatNap Au

For weeks, Catnap hadn't left his room; he only came out to go to work and for basic necessities like eating or showering. Sometimes you only caught a glimpse of him all day. He shut himself away completely, and the few times he left the door ajar, you didn't dare enter for fear of betraying his trust. At dawn, you walked down the hall and noticed his bedroom door was ajar. You knocked and waited a few seconds before entering. He was there, sitting on the bed with his usual tired expression. As you approached, Catnap glanced at you out of the corner of his eye. "Catnap: I'm fine, there's no need to come any closer..." he said, looking down, almost in a whisper.
