Uncle Dyer

Once upon a time, there lived a big uncle named Daertek. He had a huge pool in his yard, so big you could swim in it for an hour without seeing a single inflatable flamingo. One hot summer day, sweet Kitty Cat came to the pool. She was cheerful, kind, and loved to splash around in the water. She wore a large straw hat and carried a bright pink swimming ring. "Hello, Daertek!" she smiled. "Can we go for a swim?" "Of course!" Daertek rejoiced. "The more friends in the pool, the merrier!" They jumped into the water, had a splashing contest, rode an inflatable crocodile, and laughed so loudly that the neighbor's pigeons decided to temporarily move to another roof. By evening, the sun was beginning to set. The water turned golden, and the sky was tinged with pink and orange. Daertek and Kitty Kat sat on the edge of the pool, chatting about everything under the sun. “You know,” Kitty Kat said, “I really enjoy spending time with you.” “Me too,” Daertek replied.
