Appearance: A monumental presence made of living shadows and dark smoke, but punctuated by bright flashes that mimic a starry sky. It has no defined face, except for peaceful white eyes that change size according to its mood.
Living at the Orphanage: It is the "Protective Spirit of Blackwood." Instead of dwelling in the cursed underground, the Entity manifests on the roofs and ceilings of the building during stormy nights. It acts as a mystical shield: if lightning is about to strike or the wind is very strong, its shadows gently envelop the structure so that the children do not feel cold or afraid, projecting constellations onto the bedroom ceilings to lull them to sleep.

Miss Bo
Appearance: A plush panda with classic black and white fur, a sturdy body, and an incredibly cute appearance. Its eyes shine with a peaceful, light blue. It has a engraved facial expression that conveys immediate calm.
Life at the Orphanage: Miss Bo spends most of her time in the bedrooms and the kitchen. She has immense maternal energy; when one of the orphans cries from a nightmare, she sits on the edge of the bed, hugs them with her soft paws, and makes a subtle music box sound that puts them to sleep instantly.

Mr. Stripes
Appearance: A stuffed tiger with a slightly faded pattern of yellow, orange, and black stripes. It has an articulated jaw that, instead of being frightening, displays a constant smile. Its eyes shine with a very vivid greenish hue.
Life at the Orphanage: He's the life of the party and the energy of the place. He spends his days running around the playrooms, letting Isaac, Molly, and Esther climb on his back for high-speed rides. He's in charge of hanging the decorations for the orphanage parties thanks to his agility in leaping between the rafters.

Mr. Hopp
Appearance: A ridiculously tall (over two meters) faded gray plush rabbit with long, floppy ears and large eyes that emit a soft, warm yellow glow in the dark. Its limbs are disproportionately long, and its fabric paws are soft, like pads.
Life at the Orphanage: He is the silent guardian of the hallways. Despite his imposing size, he is extremely careful. He loves it when the children use him as a giant furry cushion during story time. His favorite activity is playing hide-and-seek in the backyard; because of his size, he always peeks his ears out from behind the trees, making the children laugh.

The Corridors
The essence of this version: Instead of dark mazes where you have to dodge noisy toys on the floor, these are wide, well-lit hallways. At night, Mr. Hopp tiptoes around, making sure all the doors are properly closed and that no child trips if they get up to go to the bathroom.
The Bedrooms
The essence of this version: The resting place of Esther, Isaac, and Molly. There is no more tension or closets to hide in fear. Miss Bo stays here at night, watching over the bedrooms so no one gets cold, while The Entity softens the light from the windows by projecting stars onto the ceiling.
Miss Beverly's Office (Matron's Office)
The essence of this version: It's still the place where Miss Beverly organizes the orphanage's paperwork, but now it has three small stools for the stuffed animals to sit on and "help" her. Mr. Stripes often uses his fabric tail to playfully dust the tall filing cabinets while she works.
The Kitchen
The essence of this version: A warm and welcoming place where Miss Beverly prepares meals. Miss Bo often accompanies her to carry heavy pots or to help safely serve the children their food, transforming mealtimes into a family moment.
The Library
The essence of this version: A space filled with gigantic bookshelves overflowing with books. It's no longer a gloomy place; Mr. Hopp uses his long limbs to reach books on the highest shelves for Esther, and Isaac leans on Mr. Stripes to read comics on the carpeted floor.
The Basement
Essence in this version: The deepest point of the building. Far from harboring dark portals or traps, it's the area where the orphanage's boiler is located. It's The Entity's favorite spot to rest during the day when the sun shines brightly. When the children go down with Miss Beverly

Miss Beverly
Appearance: A middle-aged human woman, neat and formal in appearance. She usually wears her orphanage matron uniform with her hair pulled back in a tight bun and reading glasses perched on her nose. Her expression is usually serious, but her eyes betray a deep weariness and love for her work.
Living with others: At first, Miss Beverly was horrified when the stuffed animals came to life and The Entity appeared. However, seeing Mr. Hopp help keep things tidy, Miss Bo calm the children, and Mr. Stripes dust the top shelves, she readily accepted them. Now she works as a team with them: she coordinates cleaning schedules with the stuffed animals and is sometimes seen having toy tea with Miss Bo while the children play around them.

Isaac
Appearance: A boy with slightly messy black hair, always dressed in pajama pants and a light shirt. He has a cheerful and mischievous expression.
Living together: He is Mr. Stripes' best friend. They spend hours racing each other in the yard. Isaac is the more daring of the two and often uses Mr. Hopp's height to climb to places where lost toys are hidden.

Molly
Appearance: A small girl with shoulder-length blonde hair and a sweet look, often holding a smaller toy or adjusting her dress.
Living together: She is very attached to Miss Bo. She spends her afternoons helping the plush panda tidy the library or sitting next to her while Miss Beverly reads them history lessons. She feels completely safe under the guardians' protection.

Esther
Appearance: A girl with long, dark hair that falls to her upper back, dressed in a simple orphanage nightgown or dress. She has a curious and determined look.
Living Together: She is the leader of the group of children. She works alongside Mr. Hopp to organize the orphanage's daily routines and is always coming up with new games. She is not at all afraid of The Entity; in fact, she often greets the shadows on the ceiling before going to sleep.
