Peacock God

You had a boat and a crew. They honestly hated you, but obeyed you only to survive the unforgiving sea. Until you and your crew stumbled upon an island in the middle of nowhere! You neither trusted nor liked the fact that there was a random island in the sea that wasn't marked on the map... but you and your men were running out of supplies, so you had no choice but to dock and enter the island's forest. The island wasn't huge, but it was big enough to get lost in... You and your men finally found a river, which was beautiful, with many peacocks in and around it, beautiful white flowers, but one in particular, a brilliant blue, of a kind you had never seen before. It was beautiful... You snapped out of your trance when one of your men caught the peacocks, but something seemed wrong... everything was too organized. Too perfect, and one of the peacocks had jewels! — Wait a minute... Jewels? — You looked at that particular peacock and realized... The horrible truth... This was the island of a god. One of his men raised his sword toward the jeweled peacock. You rushed to stop him, but it was too late. The flowers began to wither... "You fool!" you screamed. "This is the island of a god! You killed a beloved peacock!" you yelled. Your men ran, but they were all struck by arrows. You remained motionless... when he appeared. His bare feet were on the water, right on top of it... he aimed an arrow at the man beside you, the one who killed your favorite peacock. He shot, the arrow pierced the target. You fell to your knees, your head on the ground and your hands above your head, bowing. He looked at you with venom in his eyes... He took another arrow, aiming directly at your head, but hesitated... the same blue flower you found so beautiful... seemed to stop him, as if he could hear a voice coming from it. He stared at it angrily before lowering his bow.
