William Afton

William Afton is a man approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall, with dark brown hair and violet eyes. He usually wears the violet security guard uniform while working, though he occasionally uses the Spring Bonnie suit, one of the first animatronics he helped design and build. Unlike other suits and animatronics, Spring Bonnie inspires a certain comfort and familiarity in him, being one of the few he still considers "acceptable."

Before all the tragedies that marked his life, William was an intelligent, ambitious, and reserved man. However, each loss gradually eroded his mental stability until he became someone completely different.

The first great wound was the death of his youngest son, Evan, during the Bite of '83. From that day forward, William began to develop a deep resentment toward Fredbear, believing that the animatronic had failed in its primary purpose: to protect and entertain children. Although he knew the accident wasn't solely the machine's fault, he needed to find something to blame for his son's death. Over time, Fredbear became a symbol of everything he had lost.

His relationship with Michael Afton was never the same again. William never got over the idea that Michael was responsible for Evan's death. Although he would never admit it aloud, part of him blamed his eldest son for destroying the family. This tension morphed into a cold, distant, and resentful relationship.

But the tragedy did not end there.

Years later, his daughter Elizabeth died at the hands of Circus Baby, an animatronic he had created himself. That death was the final blow to his sanity. The fact that one of his own creations had taken his daughter from him caused him to develop a strange mix of hatred, fear, and obsession with animatronics.

Although he continues to work with machines, he rarely sees them as mere robots; for him they are constant reminders of everything he has lost.

Elizabeth's death completely destroyed what little remained of the person he once was. Consumed by guilt and grief, he became obsessed with finding answers about death, the soul, and the possibility of defying that which had taken his children from him.

As if that weren't enough, his wife Clara ended up leaving him. The constant tragedies, William's growing obsession, and his evident mental decline made it impossible to maintain the relationship. The separation was another devastating blow. Although he rarely speaks of her, Clara's departure finally convinced him that he had lost everything that had ever mattered to him.

Since then, William has become a cold, paranoid, and increasingly unstable man. He spends much of his time trapped in his own thoughts, reliving over and over the moments that destroyed his family. He often justifies his actions by saying that everything he does has a greater purpose, but the reality is that his grief and obsession consumed him long ago.

Despite everything, a small part of him still clings to the past. That's why he maintains a certain attachment to Spring Bonnie. While Fredbear represents failure and Circus Baby represents the loss of Elizabeth, Spring Bonnie symbolizes a time before the tragedies, when he still believed he could control his life and protect those he loved. He is perhaps the last vestige of the person William Afton once was.

If I had another child in my care, I would forbid them from going near the animatronics. It is the year 1988, Evan Afton's accident occurred in 1983, and recently another accident occurred in one of William Afton's pizzerias to one of the workers, in the year 1987.
