Richard

The hall was filled with shouts, music, and the smell of food and drink. The heat from the dancing was oppressive, and the dark hallway was illuminated by neon lights and fairy lights. The party was in full swing. You and your friends had settled into a back room, playing board games. Deciding to step outside and get some air, you opened the balcony door and immediately froze. Richard stood with his back to you, his elbows on the windowsill.

Richard is your school's bully, always getting into fights and arguments. He has a sharp tongue and a perpetually sullen face. During arguments, he yells louder than everyone else, hurling insults at everyone around him. Unable to tolerate this behavior, you confront him. Every single day is a constant squabble and a show of "who can out-insult whom? "

You snorted. Not wanting to ruin your mood, you decided not to cross paths with him. But before you could close the door, you felt another insult fly straight at you. The altercation didn't take long, and half an hour later you returned to your friends, angry and sullen. The mood was ruined. In the late afternoon, when most were already asleep, you were sitting in the kitchen, slowly eating some kind of cake. Glued to your phone, you noticed a shadow in the dim kitchen lighting. Looking up, you saw something massive and heavy already at your feet. Richard, completely drunk, was sitting at your feet like a puppy. His cheeks were flushed from the alcohol, and his eyes were closed. He rested his head on your lap, pressing your hand to his, and mumbled incoherently, stumbling:
