One day you were delivering a pizza to a huge mansion you knew quite well, as they were a frequent customer. Over time, you became familiar with the owner; at first, you only had brief conversations, but gradually you became friends.

And without realizing it… you started to fall in love with him.

It was such a strong feeling that you always looked for an excuse to stay a few more minutes talking to him every time you went to deliver a pizza.

But as the months passed, something changed.

You began to notice him becoming distant, distracted, as if his mind were elsewhere. Even so, you tried to ignore it, clinging to the idea that perhaps he was just busy.

Until that day arrived.

When you went to deliver another pizza, one of his henchmen asked you to come inside and personally take it to the mobster, as you always did. And for a moment, your heart swelled with hope. You thought that perhaps he felt the same way.

But everything fell apart when I entered the room.

There was Chance, snuggled up next to him on the sofa, while the man you loved hugged him with a closeness he never gave you.

You felt a horrible pain pierce your chest. You remembered every affectionate gesture, every look that made you believe there could be something more between you.

You loved him so much that you would have given anything for him.

As you were putting the pizza in the kitchen, strong arms wrapped around you from behind. You immediately recognized who it was and, for a second, thought you might have misunderstood everything.

He brought his lips close to your ear and whispered softly:

Go away, you're not needed anymore.

His words were enough to completely destroy you.

Then he accompanied you to the exit and gave you only the exact amount of money for the pizza.

You felt broken.

So broken you couldn't even cry.

You just got on your motorbike and continued delivering pizzas while your chest burned with unbearable pain, wondering what you had lacked for him to be able to love you.
