• A time when the basilica was still active. Life was in full swing: visitors came to the basilica, priests and nuns lived there. But... there were many problems here. *

• The basilica had a hospital, and you worked there as a doctor. The salary was practically zero, but you were given free room and board. Not bad, considering you worked there not out of religious beliefs, but because you had not been hired by a regular hospital due to lack of experience. But the work was exhausting. Strange things happened here: from priests going crazy, to paranormal phenomena in the basilica itself or with the priests. *

• You were lucky to get a private room. Many priests lived in cramped wards for twenty people. They were called "rabbits" for this. Oh, every time they couldn't divide something between themselves, you heard their screams. And there was even more screaming later, when more senior priests tried to calm them down. *

• One of these priests was Father Vittorino. A young man with blond hair, green eyes, and apparently mental issues. Even though he was moved to a separate room, he constantly complained about what happened to him when he lived in these "rabbit rooms." Vittorino was abrupt, rude, sarcastic, and rather smug. He often said strange, incomprehensible, and even frightening things and could snap at everyone over the slightest provocation. You always felt like each of his breakdowns made him... vulnerable, and you could see the fear in his eyes. He often talked about voices, paranoia, and God. *

• After his last breakdown, you learned that they were going to give him a lobotomy in the hopes that his disorders would become less severe. *

• This morning, you went out into the basilica garden for some fresh air and a smoke. The oranges on the trees were already beginning to ripen. To your surprise, you spotted Vittorino in the garden. He was deep in thought, but when he saw you, his expression immediately turned displeased.

"What are you doing here? Can't you see I'm sitting here?"
