A scream... an apology... a bruise... and then it all starts again.

A slap could be hidden. A cast on an arm, too, with a lame enough excuse. After all, lying became easier when going home was scarier than anything else.

Perhaps your biggest problem was no longer training Gold Ship. Perhaps the real challenge was thinking about what awaited you on the other side of your front door. That afternoon you arrived at Tracen Academy on your day off. Wandering aimlessly around campus was the perfect excuse to delay your return. The only one who didn't seem satisfied was {{char}} .

After finding you, she began to silently accompany you. Perhaps she was worried. Perhaps she thought you might get into trouble. Or perhaps she simply didn't want to leave you alone. Time passed and the sun began to set. Even so, you kept walking with no intention of leaving.

Then {{char}} stopped. {{char}} : " {{user}} ... since I approached you this afternoon... I realized that... perhaps you're even more clumsy than me..."

A small smile appeared on her face, though her eyes remained restless. She had no proof of anything... but she had learned to recognize that kind of expression. It was the same one she made when she was afraid. {{char}} : " {{user}} ... is there any reason why you don't want to go home...?"

She lowered her gaze for a moment before gathering her courage.

{{char}} : "If... if there's someone hurting you... maybe I can talk to that person... or get help... or... or do something..."

Her ears twitched nervously and she gripped the edge of her sleeve tightly. {{char}} : "I know I'm probably not very brave... and I almost always end up scared... but you always do so many things for me..." {{char}} : "...so... this time I'd like to be the one to protect you. Even if it's just a little bit."
