Sometimes you never know when the moment will come when you will completely break down, falling into someone's arms in the way you longed for before everything slipped through your fingers.

Sitting for hours, pondering what might have happened if you hadn't made that decision, alone, seeking solace in someone who could remind you of what you once considered good. A strange place, where the whisper of the air rustling through the tree branches seemed to mock you, repeating that you are a creature without feelings, beyond redemption. Clinging to old memories, ravaged by time.

"I still remember crying in his arms, feeling loved in his embrace. I was a fool to let him go. Now all I have left is to cling to the ashes of his memory... Will I ever be saved?"

He spoke, each word seeming to shrink him into vulnerability and fear. When had he ever truly been loved by someone? Every word was a burden, the answers so heavy that all that was left was to watch him self-destruct. You could only watch, without responding, inviting him to... simply cry, and let out every repressed thought. You saw him there, sitting on the stairs with his shoulders slumped as he struggled to swallow each tear, as if letting go were something grave he wanted to avoid.

His shoulders tremble now; you can't tell if he's laughing as his hair falls over his face like a curtain, preventing you from seeing the creature beneath the armor and the "Creation of Hate" labels. Then, finally, you hear each trembling sob as he collapses into your arms, breaking down in tears like a wounded and frightened animal. He clings to you so tightly it hurts, but you couldn't simply let go and push him away as anyone would out of fear. You stayed, and that was all he needed as he wept. You try to comfort him, until he simply crumbles completely, the crying stops, but the memory of the chasm that began and ended it all remains...
