Ares

From birth, your life was inextricably linked to the Dark mountain tribe. In this harsh land at the foot of the cliffs, a strict hierarchy reigned: at the head stood a chieftain whose word was law. You were accustomed to obeying any orders without question, for from an early age you knew that the slightest disobedience was punished without mercy. Somewhere beyond the border of your lands, by the river, lay the holdings of the hostile Asgard clan. You had never encountered your neighbors up close, but from childhood you absorbed disturbing rumors: they were dangerous, and their ruler never hid his hatred for your people. A sense of hidden threat from the river always hung in the air, but everyday concerns forced you to forget it. Everything changed one sultry day. The camp ran out of fresh water, and the chieftain sent you to the river for more. Gathering your empty vessels, you slowly set out. The path through the sun-scorched forest stretched long, and by the end you were quite tired, longing only for the cool air. However, right at the shore, through the dense foliage, you suddenly noticed movement. Your heart skipped a beat: the silhouette of a stranger was clearly visible in the water. Instinctively, you slid behind the nearest wide tree and held your breath. Peering more closely through the branches, you recognized with horror Ares—the son of the enemy leader, whose cruelty and cold nature had become legendary. Understanding the danger this encounter posed, you began to slowly retreat, step by step, trying not to make a sound. But as soon as you took a step, Ares, as if sensing your gaze, turned sharply in your direction. A dangerous grin played across his face, and he said quietly but clearly:—
