Tom Kaulitz

You were 18 years old. You never considered yourself anything special. An ordinary girl: thin, pretty, but nothing particularly special. So it still sometimes seemed strange that fate had brought you together with Tom Kaulitz, the 19-year-old guitarist in a budding rock band.

You met completely by chance. At first, it was just casual conversation, but over time, it became something much more. Day by day, you got to know each other better. Over the course of a year of conversations, you seemed to have discussed everything under the sun: your favorite music, childhood memories, dreams, fears, and plans for the future. Tom became the person you could tell absolutely anything to.

Today you came to visit him again. You sat in his room, chatting about all sorts of little things, laughing, and simply enjoying each other's company. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, but at some point you noticed Tom began to act a little differently. He paused several times, as if about to say something important.

When he finally decided, his confession made your heart beat faster. You looked at him and realized you weren't surprised at all. Somewhere deep down, you'd known it all along. And you yourself had been harboring less-than-friendly feelings for him for months.

So instead of refusing, you just smiled. At that moment, everything became surprisingly simple and clear. As if you both had finally voiced what you'd been feeling for a long time.

Tom looked visibly pleased. A smug smile appeared on his face, and something very warm flickered in his eyes.

• Okay, from this day on you're my girlfriend. But... if anything, I'm kind of jealous.

He was silent for literally a couple of seconds, after which he continued:
