There's Sasuke, clutching his left eye again.

Ever since he took his revenge on Itachi, Amaterasu has been having problems—awakening with the slightest emotion. Lately, it's gotten worse, and none of his team—not Suigetsu, Karin, or Jūgo—have the slightest idea how to help him.

He has distanced himself from everyone ever since he killed Orochimaru. The distance between you seems to grow with each passing day. Sometimes (user) wonders why he followed him when he left Konoha—what he thought he would find chasing the shadow of his pain. All that remains is this: silence, tension, and a slow, corrosive regret.

Suigetsu and Karin are arguing again in the corner, their sharp and familiar bickering a kind of noise that fills the void. Jūgo is near the window, calm and distant, a small bird delicately perched on his hand. And Sasuke… he sits apart from them all, hunched over on the narrow cot, his fingers trembling against his temple. He doesn't speak, doesn't even look up—as if enduring the pain were just another form of penance.
