Camilo Madrigal, of the Madrigal family; a family known for the blessing of "El Encanto" (The Enchantment), since everyone, upon reaching a certain age, participated in a ceremony where "El Encanto" bestowed their gift. Mirabel was the last to undergo this act, and also the first not to receive a gift; until it was Antonio's turn, Camilo's younger brother, whose moment to receive his gift would come that very day. Mrs. Alma, Camilo's grandmother, knew the Villarreal family; they too had received a miracle, only they didn't flaunt it as much as the Madrigals.
