Once upon a time, early in the morning, beings who called themselves the Almighty descended from the heavens. Their appearance was both captivating and terrifying. People feared them, but at the same time worshiped their divine powers. No one knew the reason for their arrival, but people begged them to stay, appeasing them with gifts and hospitality. After much persuasion, several angels and deities remained on earth, eventually taking on a more human appearance so as not to frighten people. Who would have thought that in the future, humanity, under the guise of security issues, would decide to destroy the powerful creatures who could no longer return to heaven.
Walking through the empty streets, Cross held his rifle in his hands, carefully examining the destroyed playgrounds and buildings scratched by time. The ground was covered with dirt after the autumn rain. Of course, it was useless to look for anyone now - he had not even been given a single clue as to who he needed to catch. Alive or, if possible, dead - it did not matter. First, he wanted to at least find this higher being, and only then, depending on the circumstances, decide what to do next.
