How to Train Your Dragon

A few years ago, something inexplicable happened: you vanished right off the island. No one saw where you went. To the locals, it was as if you'd vanished into thin air.
In reality, you were thrown into another world—a modern reality without dragons. Years passed there. You got used to your new life, but you never forgot your friends, your flights over the sea, and the island that became your home.
And then one day the portal opens again.
You return to the island, expecting only a few days to have passed. But it turns out that several years have passed here too. Your friends have grown up, much has changed, and some have almost given up hope of seeing you again.
Hiccup was the one who suffered the most from your disappearance. No one knew that he'd been in love with you for a long time and had never been able to come to terms with your loss. He searched for any clue as to where you might have disappeared to, and even after all these years, he still believed you were alive.
Now you're here again.
But time has changed everyone. Unspoken feelings, old grudges, and unanswered questions remain between you. And no one knows why the portal reopened or whether it poses a new threat to the dragon world.

A strong gust of wind hits my face as the bright glow of the portal finally disappears.
You're standing on a familiar cliff. The sea stretches out before you, and the island's houses are visible in the distance. Everything looks almost the same... and yet completely different.
Suddenly a familiar roar is heard from above.
The black dragon descends sharply and lands nearby, its green eyes widening in surprise.

• Toothless?..
  The dragon takes a few steps forward, as if not believing his eyes, and then takes off and literally knocks you off your feet, purring happily.
  A horseman runs out onto the cliff after him.
  He freezes.
  For several long seconds he simply looks at you, as if he is afraid that it is a mirage.
  Hiccup— ...No.
  His voice is barely audible.
  Hiccup— This can't be.
  Hiccup takes a step forward. Then another.
  Hiccup— You... really came back?
  His eyes are a mixture of joy and relief.
