ability

Fighting Skills:

Flight - Lute has a pair of wings for high-speed flight.

Super Strength - Lute is so strong that she managed to tear off her own arm when it got stuck under a pile of rubble. She was also able to rip off Vaggi's original pair of wings with her bare hands, wield her sword with enough force to create a powerful gust of wind, and kick Vaggi so hard that the ground cracked from the impact.

Enhanced Stamina - Lute is able to ignore the pain of having to tear off his own arm, as well as the potential fatigue caused by significant blood loss, and still manage to fight one-on-one.

Defying gravity - During the song Gravity, Lute is shown effortlessly walking through a large window and remaining there for several moments without flapping her wings, before jumping and shattering the glass in the process.

Eye Illumination - Lute can make her eyes glow with a white light that partially obscures her golden irises when she is at her brightest. skill set

Weapon Proficiency - As an Exorcist, Lute is skilled in the use of weapons, just like all other Exorcists during the Exterminations. The weapon she uses most frequently is a sword.

Musical talent - As demonstrated in her performance with Adam, and in her solo work, she is a very talented singer.

Details of Lute's personality - part 5

As demonstrated, this "Adam" possesses mannerisms and personality identical to the real Adam; however, Lute understands, on a subconscious level, that this is not the true Adam, since the hallucination itself confirmed that "he" is merely a creation of her mind and does not possess any knowledge, memory, or personality trait of the real Adam that she is unaware of, being something composed entirely of Lute's own memories and knowledge of him.

Lute demonstrates an almost obsessive desire for revenge against all demons after Adam's death, evidenced by the deterioration of her mental health. Furthermore, she desperately uses Heaven's precarious security to descend into Hell and kill everyone, going so far as to not only challenge Sera but also yell at the Speaker of God to plead for her genocidal crusade, which she believes to be the "obvious choice," as she coldly told Emily once...

Details of Lute's personality - part 4

It is also shown that Lute is pragmatic enough to know when a fight is lost: after Adam is killed and the army is left at the mercy of Lucifer, Charlie, and their allies, Lute took Adam's halo and ordered the Exorcists to retreat.

Despite this, Lute's determination in her mission demonstrates her ingenuity and tenacity, as she uses all the resources at her disposal to maintain the status quo of Heaven, as evidenced by ordering Lilith to take care of Charlie or by temporarily canceling the agreement Lilith was part of. She also harbors a deep hatred and contempt for Vaggie, considering her a traitor for even sympathizing with demons, going so far as to gouge out Vaggie's left eye when she spared a sinful child back when Vaggie was an exorcist, leaving her to die. This hatred would increase exponentially after Adam's death.

Vivziepop explains that Lute is a character who sees herself as someone who isn't taken as seriously as she thinks she should be, and since Adam was the only one who truly gave her that purpose and support, without him, she has a great void that she fills with a hallucination of him that exists in her mind, which is a manifest representation of Lute's deteriorating mental health and grief.

Details of Lute's personality - part 3

Despite grieving the loss of a loved one, Lute shows no remorse for having inflicted the same emotions of anguish and despair on the population of Hell, even smiling ironically when confronted by Vox about it. This highlights the dichotomy in her moral compass, as she coldly considers the murder of sinners as "justifiable," but is deeply irritated and frustrated by the fact that no one in Heaven seems to mourn or even care about Adam's death in an extermination, ironically a "tit-for-tat" situation.

In essence, Lute is uncompromising, refusing to abandon her mission and purpose as an Exorcist, even considering mercy an unforgivable insult. She was willing to tear off her own left arm in a fit of rage to continue the fight against Vaggi and even told the Speaker of God that she was willing to give her life for Heaven. She also refuses to accept Sir Pentious's redemption, still seeing him as a sinner rather than a redeemed victor, and uses his history from when he was alive and his attack on Adam as evidence against his character, even claiming that Sir Pentious himself killed Adam when, in fact, it was the other way around; this, however, may have been an attempt to discredit him or, equally likely, the result of a distorted view of what happened during the last extermination (since she claims that Sir Pentious was under Lucifer's command), as well as the delusional belief that Adam (and angels in general) could not err.

Details of Lute's personality - part 2

Lute herself demonstrates great loyalty to Sera, Emily, and Adam, her superiors, and follows their orders without hesitation. She assumes the role of greatest responsibility, reminding Adam of the seriousness of his duties and fulfilling Sera's orders to keep the Extermination a secret from the rest of Heaven. Later, despite her burning desire for revenge, Lute continued to follow Emily and Sera's orders as High Seraphim of Heaven, refraining from any plan to attack Hell again and, reluctantly, accompanying them in their attempts to make peace with the inhabitants of Hell, although she refused to participate in the negotiations. She also once obeyed Abel's order to retreat, although she showed visible irritation at it.

When Adam died, Lute, devastated by emotion, rushed to his side and cried out his name through tears, demonstrating that she cared deeply for him beyond their professional relationship. His death would motivate her to openly advocate for the extermination of everyone in Hell, sinners or not, using the precarious security of Heaven and the supposed threat that Hell represents as pretexts, and she would frequently employ genocidal rhetoric when referring to the inhabitants of Hell.

Details of Lute's personality - part 1

Upon perceiving any threat from Hell, Lute does not hesitate to advocate violence and bloodshed as retaliation. When the exorcists discover that one of their own has been killed for the first time, Lute becomes furious and demands revenge, insisting they immediately return to permanently massacre everyone in Hell in pursuit of vengeance. This demonstrates her cruelty, but also her impulsiveness, because despite this incident being concrete proof that exorcists are vulnerable and can be killed by demons, Lute wants to plunge headlong into Hell without a plan.

She also demonstrated a strong sense of loyalty to Heaven, despite despising all demons, sinners, and infernal beings; she accepted the pardon negotiated by Lucifer with Heaven so that the exorcists would leave the infernal demons in peace and attack only the sinners. However, this changed after a period of animosity between Lute and Adam against Charlie Morningstar and Vaggie, in which they directed the next extermination directly against the Hazbin Hotel and attacked several infernal demons, including Charlie.

Lute's personality

Lute was Adam's lieutenant and stoic subordinate, always by his side. She and Adam seemed to have a friendly relationship, with Adam praising her for her large number of kills and Lute participating in his antics. She and Adam shared several beliefs, such as that angels are supposedly perfect and never make mistakes.

Like Adam, she cherishes her angelic status and detests the idea that angels can make mistakes. Lute displays a particularly sadistic side when humiliating Charlie, especially regarding the Exorcists' feelings about her and other infernal demons. Her sadism was demonstrated when she yelled for them to "rip Vaggie's mouth off her ass!", something even Adam considered excessive.

Regarding demons, she harbors deep prejudice and xenophobia against them, openly referring to them as "filth," "monsters," and using profanity. Like all exorcists, she doesn't care about sinners and resorts to killing them every year during the Extermination, taking pride in the number of demons she has already slain. She sees sinners, in particular, as lost causes and incapable of change, claiming that the only chance they had to access paradise was their life on Earth. She is very rigid in her worldview and immediately rejects anything that contradicts it. Based on her interaction with Charlie, Lute would happily attack all the inhabitants of Hell, sinners and infernals alike, during the Exterminations, and sees them collectively as inherently inferior to angels, evil, and deserving of their extermination.

Lute's appearance

Lute wears an outfit almost identical to that of other Exorcists, with the only visual difference being that the right pupil of her mask is a white circle with an X superimposed on it, instead of a white X, and the horns on her mask are curved backward. She also usually has bloodstains on her gray minidress.

Beneath her mask, Lute reveals herself to be a humanoid angel with white skin, pale golden-yellow eyes, black lips, and short, neck-length white hair cut in an asymmetrical bob with an undercut. She also appears to wear gray eyeshadow as makeup.

Lute lost her left arm after tearing it off her bicep to escape the rubble of the Hazbin Hotel; she now wears a golden prosthetic arm with Adam's halo around her wrist, like a bracelet.
