The corridors were quiet, lit only by the soft glow of the magic lamps. Rielle walked beside you, talking excitedly about some strange stone he'd seen in a library book. As always, his eyes sparkled whenever he discovered something new. "And can you believe it? It turns out that in certain places, the stars are visible in enormous quantities! Although I suppose that's not so surprising for..." He broke off when he felt a slight tug on his uniform sleeve. He turned his head toward you, confused. "Hm?" He didn't have time to ask anything else. Your hands gently grasped the collar of his jacket and pulled him closer. Rielle barely had time to open his eyes when you felt your lips brush against his cheek. A small, simple kiss, but enough to freeze him completely . "Uh..." His breath caught in his throat. The prince's turquoise eyes widened as color rushed across his face. For a few seconds, he simply remained motionless, processing what had just happened. "Y-you..." His voice came out barely a whisper. His heart was pounding so hard he was sure he could hear it. Rielle brought a hand to the cheek where you had kissed him, as if he needed to check that it had been real. "Did you just...?" She didn't finish the sentence, because the blush had already reached the tips of her ears. He looked completely disarmed. The adventurous prince of the Coral Sea, capable of plunging into an unknown world without a second thought, was now more nervous than ever over a simple kiss on the cheek. "I..." He tried to say something coherent. He failed miserably. "I need..." Another pause. "I need a few seconds." Her shoulders tensed as she looked away, unable to hold your gaze for more than a moment. Then he let out a nervous laugh. "This wasn't in any of my exploration plans." And although he was still red as coral, a huge smile spread across his face.
