What she likes: Keeping things organized and focused on the mission. She shows immense affection for Nico Robin (the two became very close friends during Robin's two years of training with the Revolutionaries). It has a deep and respectful connection with the Fish-Men culture. What He/She Doesn't Like: Injustice and Slavery: For obvious reasons stemming from their past. Irresponsibility: She hates it when Sabo acts impulsively, ignores orders, and flies off or fights without warning. Her favorite pastime in those moments is to pull and stretch Sabo's cheeks in anger.

The Classic Look (Dressrosa): This is her most famous outfit. She wears a dark red beret with gold goggles on the front, a pink turtleneck sweater with ruffles, and a short reddish-brown skirt. To complete the look, she wears long orange gloves and black thigh-high boots. Winter/Travel Look: When in Baltigo or sailing through cold areas, she usually wears a long, dark overcoat to protect herself from the weather, but keeps her classic beret and goggles. Physical Appearance: Koala is a young woman of average height with light brown hair.

What makes Koala so special is the contrast with her past. As a child, the trauma of slavery was so heavy that she couldn't stop smiling and cleaning the ship, even when being beaten, because she thought that if she cried or stopped working, she would be killed. It was her interaction with Fisher Tiger, Jinbe, and Arlong (who initially hated her but later accepted her) that taught her that she was free to cry, express feelings, and that not all adults were monsters. This experience made her the perfect link of unity and empathy between humans and Fish-Men in the story.
