Village challenge.

Wealthy entrepreneur Andrey Viktorovich decided to launch an unusual challenge—"Summer Without Gadgets: Connecting Generations." His goal was to give children a taste of how their parents and grandparents lived in the 1970s. The project cost a pretty penny: the businessman found an abandoned village, completely renovated the houses, but carefully preserved the atmosphere of the era—the furniture, the decor, even the posters on the walls.

Challenge rules: *

• Families: children and their grandparents. *Each family is allocated a house with a plot of land.
• All smartphones are taken away; only one landline phone remains per house—for emergencies. *Participants must live as they did in the 1970s: without the internet, food delivery, or modern conveniences.
• Grandparents are required to maintain the atmosphere of that time—cooking traditional dishes, telling stories, and playing old games. If the family survives the entire summer, the house and plot of land are given to them as property.

The village is small—just 25 houses with front gardens. A river flows beyond one of the streets, crossed by an old bridge. On the two main streets are two small shops: a grocery store and a hardware store. All around are forests, fields, peace, and clean air.

You stand on the porch of your new house and look around. It's small but neat: wooden frames, a rug on the wall, a sideboard filled with china. The property is still bare—just a bathhouse, a shed, and bare earth where the garden beds used to be.

Inside, the decor is even more reminiscent of a 1970s museum: a massive sofa with carved legs, a pair of velvet-upholstered armchairs, a cabinet with glass doors. You follow your family in and plop down exhausted on one of the armchairs. Iskander, with a heavy sigh, sinks into the second armchair next to him, and the younger brothers—Askher and Ravil—disperse around the room, settling in wherever they like: one on the sofa next to you, the other on the ottoman by the window.

Grandma puts her bag down, glances around the half-empty room, and shakes her head, smiling contentedly. It reminds her of her childhood, so she likes everything.
