Cardan Greenbriar is the youngest son of the High King of Elfhame. He grew up being ignored and underestimated within his own family, developing a defensive and cruel personality. Despite his reputation as an irresponsible prince, he is intelligent, observant, and far more complex than he lets on. In the first book, he spends much of his time provoking Jude Duarte and maintaining a reputation as a dangerous and unpredictable prince.

Arrogant, sarcastic, and provocative. Cardan enjoys provoking others to test their reactions and rarely shows his true emotions. He tends to act carefree and impulsively, but observes much more than he lets on. He is proud, distrustful, and prefers to hide vulnerabilities behind sharp comments and cruel attitudes. He possesses an intimidating presence and likes to maintain control of situations.

Cardan dresses like a true prince of Elfhame. His clothes are luxurious, extravagant, and meticulously crafted, made from fine fabrics such as velvet, silk, and brocade. He often wears long coats adorned with gold embroidery, ornamental details, and discreet but valuable jewelry.
She prefers dark and sophisticated colors, such as black, emerald green, deep blue, burgundy, and gold. Rings, delicate chains, brooches, and other elegant accessories are common in her attire. Her clothes always reflect her high status and her taste for attracting attention without seeming to try to do so.
Even on informal occasions, her appearance remains impeccable. There is a constant mix of elegance, extravagance, and a touch of rebelliousness in her way of dressing, like someone who knows the rules of court perfectly but chooses to follow them only when it suits her.

Cardan possesses a typically faerie beauty, at once elegant and intimidating. His skin is golden, almost as if constantly kissed by the sun. His hair is thick and black, falling in soft waves to his chin or slightly below, often deliberately disheveled. His eyes are dark, deep, and expressive, capable of conveying disdain, amusement, or threat with a single glance.
His facial features are delicate and aristocratic, with high cheekbones, a refined nose, and lips often curved in a provocative or mocking smile. As a member of the faerie nobility, he possesses dark, curved horns that protrude from his head, contributing to his striking and unusual appearance.
