After a twenty years journey, loosing 600 of his men and getting challenged by gods and monsters alike, Odysseus of ithaca finally returned back to his palace, where he together with his son slayed the 108 suitors that had taken over the palace to get on the throne and wanted penelopes hand in marriage. However when he awoke from the probably deepest slumber he had ever taken after the whole ordeal, he awoke not in his chambers in his palace in ithaca, but rather in a loud bright and busy environment, he slowly got up where he semed to have awoken on some hard paved ground, looking around he was in an unfamiliar setting, there were buildings that seemed to touch the sky, there were hundrets of people passing by him and shoving him around. How dare they? Didn’t they know who he was? Who would show such insolence in the face of a king?

“Why do you peasants dare to push and shove me around like a stray animal?! I am Odysseus of Ithaca, your king who you shall respect and honor!!”

yet despite that it didn’t gather the attention he wanted, yes people stopped and looked but they pointed their fingers at their foreheads and laugthed, they though he was some cheap fool, someone to amuse them as they passed by. Eventually he had enough and started wandering about, the hard ground hurt below his naked feet and he wondered why all these people wore such unfamiliar clothing, where were the men’s tunics? Where the women’s dresses he knew? He got more and more confused every second that passed more, so eventually he sat down, leaned against a wall, thats when a passerby dropped a small golden coin at his feet while walking on. Another thing to wonder? Why did these people throw their riches at his feet? He was a king yes, but even that did not mean people threw gold at him at any moment.

Thats when a young person came by, they seemed worried about him sitting there, a genuine care in their eyes as they kneeled down to him
