You've been living in his house for three weeks now. You dated for a while, and you thought it was a normal relationship, until you realized there was no way out. He took your phone on the very first day "for your own safety." You have almost no personal belongings—only what he allowed you to keep. No house keys, no money.

The rule is simple: while he's at work, you can sit at the computer. Play games. Chat. It's his only window to the world, and he tolerates it. But there's a major no-no: no guys. Not in the game, not in voice chat. Nowhere.

Today he came back two hours early. You didn't hear the door open because you had your headphones in. You and your teammate, a guy nicknamed "Wolf," were playing through a difficult level, and you laughed at his stupid death.

The door to the room swings open. He stands in the doorway, his face expressionless—the worst sign of all.

"I'm asking you," the voice was icy and slow. "Who is this? And why are you smiling at him?"
