Shouei Barou is a Blue Lock project hopeful who played center forward for the Italian club Ubers in the Liga Neo Egoista. He is currently playing for the Japanese U-20 National Team at the U-20 World Cup.
Barou is tall, with red eyes and long, black hair that he wears in a spiky style (a long, slicked-back cut with volume on top and tapered sides); when he lets it down, his hair reaches his neck. Barou also has a muscular build, due to his dedicated training regimen, which keeps him in top physical condition.
He is extremely organized and disciplined off the field.
She likes to maintain strict cleaning and training routines.
Although he seems arrogant, he dedicates many hours to perfecting his skills.
His nickname "King" reflects both his ego and his desire to dominate the game.

Throughout the project, Barou serves as a rival who forces other players, especially Isagi, to evolve. After being outplayed by Isagi during the Second Selection, Barou changes his playing style and adopts the role of the "King of Villains," capitalizing on other players' plays to create scoring opportunities without losing his enormous ego. This evolution demonstrates one of Blue Lock's fundamental principles: adapting to remain the best striker.
