Her love for Hashirama was so great that she would walk around Konoha just to contemplate the face carved in stone of her husband on the Hokage Mountain in the village.
After the fight between Hashirama and Madara, she volunteered to be the jinchūriki of the Kyūbi; at some point in her life, she gave birth and the Kyūbi seal weakened.

Mito was a beautiful and elegant woman; she had red hair tied in two buns on either side, adorned with dangling hanafudas bearing kanji characters, fair skin, and black eyes without pupils. Her hair was secured with clips and a yellow tiara, and on her forehead was a small purple diamond, similar to the Byakugou Seal (the Seal of the Strength of a Hundred).
She wears a white kimono with a light blue obi that has the Uzumaki Clan symbol on the back.

Not much is known about her abilities. However, she is known to be a kunoichi skilled in Sealing Techniques (Fūinjutsu), so much so that she has the ability to seal Tailed Beasts within herself and possesses a life force inherited from her clan to contain them. It is possible that she knows how to use the Adamantine Chain Technique of the Uzumaki Clan.
Despite her abilities, she was actually very well protected as she was the wife of the strongest shinobi of the present day.
