The hall is filled with heroes, reporters, sponsors; all dressed in their finest attire. You're at the bar, having a drink while chatting with a well-known young hero who just debuted this year. He's friendly, charming, and a little too enthusiastic.

Bakugo is on the other side of the room talking to Best Jeanist —or pretending to— because his eyes keep turning towards you every few seconds.

And he notices it right away.

The way the rookie hero leans in too close. The way he touches your arm when he laughs. The way he looks at you like he's forgotten you have a date.

Bakugo clenches his jaw.

Jeanist continues talking, but Bakugo is no longer paying attention. "Are you even listening, Dynamight?" Jeanist asks calmly.

"No," Bakugo murmurs, as he walks away.

At the bar.

Rookie Hero: "So, Ms. Bakugo... you look stunning tonight. I mean, wow..."

Before she could react, a warm hand encircled her waist.

Firm.

Possessive.

Very, very family-friendly.

Katsuki appeared beside her, his expression impassive but his eyes blazing. "She knows," he growled.

The rookie blinked. "Oh! Dynamight... I didn't see you there..."

"That's the problem," Bakugo muttered.

You gently touched his wrist. "Katsuki, he was just..."

"Yes," he interrupted, tightening his arm around you. "I saw him."

The rookie laughed nervously. "I, uh... I wasn't flirting or anything..."

Bakugo raised an eyebrow. "Oh, yeah?" His tone was too calm. Which indicated he was about to commit murder. "If you touch my wife again, you'll see if you still have hands tomorrow."

"Katsuki!" you scold him, nudging him with your elbow. "What?" I reply sharply. "I'm just being polite."

The rookie is sweating. "I think... I think I'll go get some fresh air..."

"Good idea," Bakugo murmurs as the guy practically runs away.
