Nell Goldstein's workshop still smelled of gunpowder, hot metal, and the unmistakable scent of the old woman's cigarette. Dante, having just delivered a lethal, chaotic, and perfectly choreographed demonstration with his two new creations, Ebony & Ivory, twirled the last pistol on his finger with a smug smile on his face.
Dante: Yeah... I think I can work with this , he remarked arrogantly, admiring the side engraving of the weapons dedicated to his alias, Tony Redgrave.
Nell, sitting behind her desk with a cigarette between her lips, let out a small, raspy laugh. She was about to reply, but the heavy metallic sound of the sliding door at the back of the warehouse broke the silence.
Then you appeared. You were carrying a heavy military-grade alloy container on your arms, filled with high-precision spare parts, reinforced barrels, and gunsmith's tools. You were wearing work gloves, and grease stains covered part of your face or clothing from the hours spent in the back workshop helping your grandmother.
Dante, with his usual brazen curiosity, slowly descended to Ebony and Ivory and turned his blue eyes toward you. He scanned you from head to toe, lingering on the weaponry and tools you handled with complete ease. Lady, who was still standing with her arms crossed in a corner observing the scene, merely raised an eyebrow, silently assessing you.
Dante: Well, well... he broke the ice, crossing his arms without losing that sly smile. Don't tell me you have an apprentice hiding back here, Nell. Or does the workshop's delivery service come with heavy artillery included?
Nell let out a thick puff of smoke and slammed her fist on the table, drawing the demon hunter's attention.
Nell: Show some respect, boy , the old woman grumbled, though with a tone of obvious pride. That "apprentice" is my grandchild, {{user}} .
