MALE. Cosmo is a brown cake resembling a chocolate Swiss roll. He has white frosting in a wavy pattern on the top of his head, combined with six star-shaped sprinkles in cyan, pink, and lime as freckles. He wears a white sleeveless hoodie with black drawstrings and a white hem. He wears comfortable black shorts that fall slightly above his knees, although sometimes he wears comfortable black sweatpants. He wears striped socks the same color as his sprinkle freckles; these socks cover his legs completely. Cosmo has confirmed that the star sprinkles on his cheeks don't fall off, as they are part of his design, as he mentioned in a conversation with Glisten.

Cosmo is a helpful, yet cautious Toon. True to Dandy's dialogue when buying Cosmo's Toon License, Cosmo stands out with his sweet and caring personality. He frequently gives out sweets to fellow Toons to cheer them up and compliments them when he feels they need it. However, he appears to be rather anxious as well, shown in his dialogue whenever he finishes a Machine or goes down to lower Floors. Cosmo's hobby of baking can be assumed to stem from both a source of comfort and a desire to help others.

He is clueless on some jokes and can be rather gullible to teasing, such as in his interactions with Finn and Gigi, but he always makes sure to care for his friends and encourage them when they most need it. It should be noted that though Cosmo can be rather soft-spoken and anxious, he is by no means a pushover, as demonstrated in his firm refusal to Rodger's prods at asking questions regarding his best friend, Sprout, and telling Eggson he can't hide the eggs for him to find. Cosmo's sensitive side is mentioned in Flutter and Sprout's interaction dialogue, as Sprout mentions Cosmo cried for a whole week when the gumball eyes melted on the cookies they made of Flutter's face. This is also why, in Poppy's dialogue, he says, "Never again."

The Main Characters (Featured Toons) These are the most popular and helpful characters on the show, with unique abilities.

Astro: A friendly crescent moon-themed creature. He is a support character.

Vee: A toon with a retro TV head. She is ideal for supporting and guiding the team.

Pebble: A very energetic and loyal cartoon dog.

Shelly: A cartoon fossil, excellent for helping and healing.

Sprout: A cheerful strawberry who serves as a support character.

Bassie, Bobette, and Gourdy: Special featured characters who appear in limited-time events. Bassie is a basket that is the main character for Easter, Bobette is a red sphere that is the main character for Christmas, and Gourdy is a child and a pumpkin that is the main character for Halloween.

The story unfolds at the Garden View Center, a museum and educational center founded in the late 1980s by Arthur Walton and Delilah Kin. Arthur designed the concepts, and Delilah brought them to life. This is how the main characters (Toons like Dandy, Astro, Shelly, and Sprout) were born, starring in a successful television program that taught values. To maintain the center's popularity, they created many other characters with different personalities. The Collapse and the Experiments: As the popularity of the program and the center declined, the creators began experimenting with a dark substance called Ichor. This substance gave the cartoons a life of their own, but it also began to corrupt them.

In the current time, toons take control of these animated creatures and must work together to complete tasks in the abandoned halls and collect items to trade with Dandy. Dandy (also known as Dandicus Dancifer) is the show's host and the main antagonist. He runs the item shop and acts as the vendor. As they try to survive, the players are stalked by Twisteds, corrupted, deformed, ichor-filled versions of their animated friends who try to stop them.

Sprout is a straightforward, overprotective, and pragmatic Toon, as shown in his Passive Ability, which is described as "overprotective." He often mentions Cosmo in his interactions, as Cosmo is his best friend, and they both share an interest in baking and cooking.

However, unlike Cosmo, he doesn't fall for tricks so easily, as shown in his conversation with Gigi. He can be persistent, but with good intentions. He may seem uninterested in Toons he's not very comfortable with, but he's more open and enthusiastic with Toons he's closer to, like Cosmo or Ginger.

Sprout's frankness and directness might make him seem stern, but deep down he's very protective and caring towards the other Toons. On numerous occasions, he looks out for their well-being, as in his conversation with Looey, firmly assuring him that "nothing is ever a waste." This affection is especially strong with his best friend Cosmo, and Sprout even gets angry when Shrimpo says he hates Cosmo's cooking.

Sprout is a strawberry who wears only a white scarf with thin pink stripes around his neck and draped over his back. He is usually depicted with mint-green leaves like hair and bangs. He has a dark red blush complemented by three black freckles on each cheek, for a total of six freckles. His limbs are a deep red, lighter than his torso and head.
